I've been told when I'm pushed that my tongue can be razor sharp. I kill with my nonchalant attitude and my words sometimes.

From my experience, most libra aren't weak, they just don't have their priorities together at times, and try to charm their way out of it
Vocabulary is our friend, Nikki. Are you trying to say talk is cheap?click to expand

I think the Libra thing is more of a passive issue than a weakness one. I don't need for things to go my way. I don't need people to bend to my will on trivial matters. I am not weak, I am just not an aggressive person. There is no positive or negative association with aggressive here. In some ways it may be a "don't rock the boat" way of thinking but I'm okay with that... I don't like when the boat is rocking. It's still not weakness though because if the boat actually NEEDS a rocking, I'll flip that bitch with a quickness. I don't understand why so many people seem to view a "go with the flow" personality as a bad thing. I wish a few more people would get over themselves and just let things ride sometimes.

I think there are a lot of reasons for a Libra (possibly much more so the men than women) to try and pretend to be something they're not. Caring about what other people think of them is a big part of that.
But once they let that go and focus on embracing both the positives and negatives of the sign, they have the strength to last the distance. I certainly went through an extended period of weakness to re-learn what I was all about. Now that's done, I wouldn't trade my scales for anything else on the table mate.

Its strange when i read posts by librans i always imagine the words being whispered. Oh well. Yeah, libra men ARE weak the majority of time, but they do explode every now and then. I think maybe they do also get tired of their pussified behavior sometimes and just decide to go crazy for once. Even at their boiling point thou, they still dont look half as convincing as the males of other signs... its like they are putting on a very bad act. No, its like watching a gay man trying to be Rambo.

Indeed, I've been through that "blow up every once in a while thing" and if anything it's a sign of weakness to have to shout and lose your cool. It's passive aggression to the fullest.
I think when I had no place to hide in front my mother and just accepted her for who she was (she has some annoying tendencies that let down my expectations of her) I learnt that you jab people on an everyday basis, keep it even and you won't need to blow up. Give as good as you get and you quickly learn which people will be worth keeping around, who keeps you mentally stimulated... and who will only ever be pretty talk. There are also a couple of experiences where I've learnt more from having an enemy than a thousand friends on any given day.
The banter is the only thing that keeps anyone entertained at the end of the day, plus it keeps some people in line... more often than not those people are the people that you care about.

++++++++1 So true about the banter keeping one entertained and others in line! I stick to that and I don't mind sharing my views, irrespective of how controversial they may be.Sometimes people you care about also need a kick in the back to remind them that you ain't a doormat, so don't confuse me with one. lol

Absolutely. That's the biggest irony in life though, took me the majority of my 27 years to figure out that it's actually the people closest to you that need the most jabs lol I'll definitely admit growing up as a young Libra you want it to be the other way around but it isn't. so just roll with it.
The way I see it, why put off learning what someone is made of tomorrow when you can find out today? I never used to be that competitive but I learnt an important lesson in Italy that i'll never forget. Respect isn't given or earnt, it's taken.click to expand

Don't know what happened but the last post got cut off.
It's really just another way to say exactly what you're saying. The saying probably sounds different in Italian then it does in English, but it essential means that respect is waiting for you to get in every corner every day, you just have to be willing to take it. Not that you force anyone to see your way. It's splitting hairs but some Libras need to hear it put that way (me) for their mind to understand it.
And indeed, I started the process of having any and everything I could hide behind stripped from me at 23-24. I'm glad it happened then rather than happening later.

Hahahaha I was going to say it is the controlling men that fall for young Libras. Especially in college or just out of college struggling to get that first job and direction in their life.
They'll always go to the soft touch for that comfort.

I dunno, I think you've twinned ego and whim there in some respects, although I do agree that Aries/Gemini's brand of brusque goes better with Aqua.

@aquarius09 indeed I am. I'm a real mutt though, if I went through all my heritage.
The bottom line is when I went to Italy I found somewhere that could tolerate my Lebanese side coming out. The majority of my life I've been based in London, UK where British people apologize for EVERYTHING. For looking at you the wrong way, for breathing... everything.
You hang around the sorry culture so much until it becomes a part of you.
Then I went to Milan and they slap that stuff right out of you. Same as in Beirut. I'd forgotten what it was like. One of my clients I work closest with is both half Lebanese and half Italian, so you can imagine the end result of blending two of the most arrogant nationalities that world has ever seen lol but that's who I'm most comfortable around. I like to know where I stand with people.

Go with the flow is not a bad thing at all. I think it's taking a stand when it needs to be taken that is referred to or sharing your thoughts/ideas, no matter how controversial they are. The libra men I know are a lil too go with the flow. The other day, a good libra friend of mine, was talking to a girl about the whole Chris Brown and Rhianna debacle. The girl said something moronic like how it's ok if your man beats you once in the blue moon as long as he's rich and spends lots of money on you. The libra and I both highly disagreed with her because we both looked at one another. However, I kept quiet because I wanted to see if my Libra friend would take a stand and share his opinion. He just laughed it off and said, 'you have a point'. I don't stand for such greedy/gold digging/pro woman abusive comments, so I jumped in and asked the girl if she was for real? When she said she was being real, there came a heated debate. Libras, I find, don't share their controversial thoughts, lest they be disliked or offend someone.click to expand

Facha di Schiafe
Piacere! Per tutte quelle tipe che c'hanno il loro stile, non saranno le veline ma' per me sono piu' fighe...That's the beautiful attitude of a woman from the Mediterranean and Middle East. I don't want anything else, you can't beat their backbone.

Most of the time, ok tbh all the time, i think some librans live in fantasyland. Reality check bros, most if not all things in life have sides/options... this is not the land of the unicorns. Good for you guys if you only see a glass, but whats the point of having a glass if its not used... not filled or half filled with anything. Its hollow.

LMAO! YOu kill me. I think the whole glass analogy is just used by a libra for a libra to give each other a pat on the back for something that may be true for some libras, but not majority. The only thing a libra sees when it comes a love matter is themselves and their need, hence the cowardly hide and seek they play when the going gets tough with a woman, and I say all of this with pure love in the honour of St. Valentine..lol
Ah but of all those things combined or in isolation they still trump spite and other such things, wouldn't you say?click to expand

No. Libras are not weak. Just gentle. And gentleness is not weakness. Think "iron fist in a silk glove".

So much for libra being an air sign lol. Its not the pure air of aqua and gem, its more like fart-ogen or brain killing & organ shutting carbon dioxide.

Aqua0z, i know, right? What a waste of air space. That category should be given to virgos in my opinion. Ok lets be fair here and talk about the only subject that some if not most of you are experts at and can actually TALK when it up for discussion... let talk about love and all things fairytale. Lmao

You do something they dont like, they'll tell you in a respectful calm way, if you dont change it they disappear.

WC, you speak my mind!! You're my aqua twin!! I agree with you on both things. I think the air spot should be given to either Virgo or even Aries. Aries women are very similar to aqua women. I can't tell them apart sometimes. The only reason I'd give the spot to virgo is because they are super smart and have that airy feel to them. I also agree with lets talk about love with libras. They excel in that topic. My libra male friend was crying, as in whining, on the phone yesterday about being single of Valentines. Fear of being alone on V-day drove him to ask a girl out, who ended up flopping today. Burn! Poor Libra friend.
Nah, there's no fear of being alone. Why I remember talking to you on these here boards about such a thing!click to expand

I nearly spat out my water when you spoke of giving the air slot to Aries. But then it's true the Aries-Pisces Cusps ("Cusp of Rebirth") do have this very-well rounded quality of being all action and feeling, and then dreams the next moment. I fell for one hard.

Lol, shame @ your friend. I dont know aries female folks well enough, but most of the aries dudes are morons in my opinion. I've never found a convo with them stimulating. I always seem to do a lot of secret eye rolls with them or wish i was elsewhere interesting. Suicidal thoughts are common too when in their company... something lethal and quick ie. a bullet to the brain lol

They truly do!! All action and feeling, then dreams the next moment is also an aqua. I live in my head when I'm daydreaming. It's very true what they say about aquas: I live in my head most of the time. Sometimes I'll be somewhere physically, but some sharp people can tell I'm not mentally there.
Yeah I have the same dreamer gift and curse. A lot of people told me I need to learn how to be more in the moment. When you hear it more than once from a few people, you have to think it's decent advice. Surprisingly I am learning how to do just that now, but I still have moments where I will tune out mentally.
They say the biggest problem with dreamers is they always attract the crowd they've secretly been wanting and, once it's there, they never know what to do with it. They'll do this over and over again until they learn to become more well-rounded and lead by example rather than just speech.click to expand
