Can I get some advice?

This Libra male is so indecisive, he is back and forth, let me explain, I am reading some stuff on here and see similarities w/he and other Libra males. He makes me CD's, he is very attentive when we are together, which has been a lot in the past month. He says I am the only female he brings home to his place (heard this before) I dont ask these things and he tells me where he has been, what he has been doing, kinda strange to me for a grown man in his 40's. We have daughters the same age whom actually went to the same high school together, yet we met online sometime back. I do really like him, but he showed me a side that I dont like.
He said to me "I will hit a woman" and I was like why r u telling me this? Scarey!!!!!!!!!!!
He said he didnt want to be my friend and 4 days later he wants to be my friend, not a relationship. Okay, problem, he said too much prior to mean what he is saying, and I already see alot of that.
Me, I like him, but I really have a full plate still dealing w/the loss of my Daddy and moving to my Mom's to take care of her and the business dad left in such a mess. I know I am emotionally raw and not so focused as I would like to be, thus, I am not sure about all this, but I do enjoy him and our time together.
So what more can you ladies tell me that is so "predictable" about Libra males and what I may watch for? I might add, he has some VIrgo tendencies.......

Well, I am currently working on moving on, that is part of what caused this reaction, I dont get why anyone would "threaten" or "want to control" me? I just dont get it, why do grown men act like this towards me? I am independent, I have choices, I use them, they are mine.
I dont understand this behavior, I really dont. Did I really just push his buttons because I didnt get manipulated, or controlled? Well, he is kinda controlling me during all of that. We were not even really fighting, but he was yelling at me, Its not that serious!

And I must say, IF indeed he does/did hit me, it would be the last time he hits me for damn sure and more than likely the last person he hits period, I WILL exercise my right to defend myself too, I DO NOT LIVE IN FEAR, fuck that, life is too damn short!
