Do Libra Men Deserve Their Bad Rap?

There seems to be a TON of libra bashing as far as the men go, and I'm a bit confused about this. All of the men who mean anything to me at all are libras. The very first libra male in my life is my father, and he is near perfect in my eyes. I've never known a more devoted father, husband, brother, son. He doesn't show much emotion but he can talk your head off if you ask him for advice and he rarely loses his temper but when he does, he goes off like a rocket! My mom (a Cancer) wears the pants, and my dad lets her. He does whatever it takes to keep the peace in the house. She does her thing and he does his, but when she needs him to do something, he does it no questions asked. They've been married for almost 40 years.
My first love and best friend all throughout high school was a libra male. I could talk to him about anything. We only broke up because he had to move far away. We reconnected years later. He was heart-broken over a recent bitter divorce and I helped him bounce back. We didn't stay together because I didn't want to live where he needed to live. I had my own path to follow. Soon after, he met a woman and married her. When I called him a few years ago, he really wanted to talk to me but was scared. Seems that his wife is ULTRA-insecure so she checks his cellphone every day, has the password to his email address and has his Facebook/Myspace set up so she gets all the notifications (also has the passwords to that). On top of that, she was pressuring him to have children when he didn't want anymore. He sounded miserable. Did he ever cheat on her? No. I know that for sure. Did he ever leave her? No. He said after his first divorce, that he'd never want to go through that again. They are still married to this day and she is pregnant with yet another child. And she still has him on major lockdown. So much so that I had to have my mother call his mother to see how he's doing.
My current best friend is a libra male. He is ALWAYS looking...not just to get laid, but a girl that can be his girlfriend as well. When he has a girl friend, he always makes time for me too (not like my stupid female friends who disappear when they have a boyfriend!) but he is always faithful to them. When he has a girlfriend, he even requests to watch movies with me in my living room instead of in my bedroom like we usually do.
My point...I've been hearing that libras are players and they disappear, etc etc...but these libra males in my life and others that I know are faithful and p**** whipped to the core. My dad can be social, but mostly he does his own thing, and my first love and my current best friend are both loners as well. I'd go as far as to call them grumpy old men because they stay to themselves like old farts when in reality they are young. Neither of them frequent bars or flirt with other women. Most of the libra men I know are very respectful and are the first to be there when you need them.
So I would libras to tell me... Do I just happen to know all the good libras on this earth or is what I am reading about libras disappearing and being players all rubbish? Should I be afraid to date a libra?
I should've clarified on that second comment. I meant Libra women. My libra female friends are fickle as I don't know what! The men don't seem to be.
well, this is the internet. every forum here has women complaining about men of whatever sign. it's just shitty guys, stop blaming their sun sign. you know? geez.

ok, I think Libra Women are more outspoken and straight shooters than libra men, somehow.

this is true.
but all together, i've heard a lot less bad stuff being said on this board about libra men than men of some other signs, and i haven't heard much bad stuff from other sources, so i don't know what kind of 'bad rap' libra men have gotten. besides a tendency to be vain and flighty, they aren't really jerks. libra women are way bigger assholes than the men. we're the ones who should have bad raps.
but really, how many guys talk straight when they're trying to use a girl for sex anyways. which seems to be the main reason women complain here about libra men or men of any other sign...a guy playing mind games with them to use them for sex. only they don't want to admit he was using them for sex, they try to find some proof that he's just some scared little boy who's just afraid of how in love he is. and how often does that really happen?
yeah, some guys are less likely to play games (like aries, leo, even geminis since they don't have the attention span for it) and there are some who are more likely, for various reasons. but if he's not around, he's not around. if he's messing with your head, he's not worth wanting. it's got nothing to do with his sign and everything to do with women needing to have more self-respect.
Good question I honestly think it depends but this is what my libra told me last night:
"Once I am dating a woman I love I am always loyal, I dont like to cheat because I wouldn't want my girlfriend to be cheating on me, so I behave like I want my girlfriend to behave" (or something like that)
and then he started to talk about his brother (Who happens to be a Libra and a is big player) "My brother is a big player, when he is single he sees 10 girls at once, he goes out with all of them without any of them noticing it but once he has a girlfriend he is like me, he doesn't care about anyone but his girlfriend and he is very loyal"
^ girl libras do that too. at least i have.
doesnt matter if we deserve it or not, its not going to stop it so.......why even care in the first place
everybody has something bad to say about libra men cuz they got their undergarments wooed off them with the twist of the english language

you seem to have something libras like, so you should be good, anyone else, beware
