I am aware of what is often said about Sag men. While I have acted differently, I would like to know about some of your experiences with them.

I was married to one for 20 years. Great man, hated the way he would sulk when we argued or should I say, I said my peace and he would go sit in a corner. He was also uninvolved with the children and more focused on career and money and his hobbies outside of this were selfish (sports like golf and surfing) things that weren't family orientated. When we went away as a family i.e.: skiing, I looked after and tried helping the children learn to ski while he went straight to the top mountain to ski down :/
Other than that we had a very easy going relationship as I did my thing and he his. Nothing was ever really a problem and there was hardly any fighting. More we ended up going our own separate ways because there wasn't enough in common and our goals for the future weren't compatible.
We are still good friends and have respect for each other.

Most* Libras will actually encourage your pursuit of independence. So long as the resulting absence isn't constant or excessive and doesn't interfere with contributing your half of the effort toward the relationship. In respect to sweetheart's post, I agree that neglect of familial or spousal duty in lieu of leisure activity is entirely unacceptable.
*exception: an atypically clingy Libra.

I'm likely biased, given aspects of my natal chart(Moon/Saturn/Uranus/Lilith in Sagittarius). Nonetheless I'm entirely at ease in the company of Sagittarian men & women alike, specifically in terms of platonic relationships.
From an intimate POV, the sole experience I had with a Sagittarius was bittersweet at best.
Positives:the level of mutual understanding we shared was uncanny, as well as common admiration for one another. Adventurous, fun experiences were always within reach and simultaneously, low-key days were equally enjoyable.
Dealbreakers:Unfortunately once things got physical, drama began. And on that note the sex was nothing to write home about. Additionally his propensity for cheating in prior relationships automatically resulted in my dismissing his credibility, upon learning the shady details too late. Furthermore, he had considerable legal troubles in the past as a result of impulsive and careless mistakes.
At the end of the day I refused to invest any energy nor time in a notorious, unpredictable character regardless that we got along so well before. Despite his overall intelligence the guy clearly didn't believe in common sense. Needless to say, I cut the cord without looking back.
My anecdote is not representative of the average Sag by any stretch, I'm well aware. If anything, the moral of the story is to be honest with others about your intentions and that timing is everything. lol.

Hey guys
I've been gone for awhile but I'm gonna jump right in here lol. I dealt with a Sag man for years. Best/Worst experience of my life
Likes: playful, outgoing, never dull moments, great conversations, great sex. I loved that he had a really big heart (tho he didn't show it well), and he was a mans man. Not clingy or needy
Dislikes: He was always sleeping with other women. He could be extremely cold and hurtful. So damn stubborn it made no sense.
he was also very inconsistent and all over the place. Like he couldn't complete one thing he was doing before he was off trying to do another
I get along with them great as friends. They are a lot of fun, but dating one wouldn't be the best idea for me

I tell you all this to say just as I have not given up on Libras, don't give up on us. The Libra/Sag combination has the potential to be the strongest of ALL pairings. Why? Because of the deep spiritual connection, our understanding of one another, and our sense of love, justice, fairness, and values. It is about understanding that true love hides in the one place no one bothers to look...within you. It is a spiritual thing and you must live it and surrender to it. A Sag male is not perfect, but he is perfect for you. When he is evolved and settled, he will love you, treasure you, adore you with all of his heart and soul. He will accept you for who you are and find you beautiful. He will believe in you when you don't believe yourself. He will do everything in his power to make your dreams come true with incredible vision and focus and he will never leave your side. He will show you things, take you places, and reveal knowledge and truth. He will soothe your restless heart and bring peace and harmony. He will also, respectfully tell you when you are wrong. He won't be perfect, but who is. The question is whether you can accept the man in front of you and not let the perfect or more perfect get in the way of something beautiful and rare.

You must be one of those mature Sag men that I've heard so much about LOL. No but I completely agree with you. My sag and I were only 22 when we met and dealt with each other on and off until about 27, so clearly he was still in his prime. I do believe sag and libra a excellent match if both have lived our their youth and got a lot of the child's play out of their systems. Everything you described was all the potential that i saw in him and that's why i loved him so much. and the connection was definitely out of this world.
If the opportunity introduced itself again with another sag man i wouldn't be quick to right him off. But i would advise any libra woman in the situation to not hold back. We tend to not be very blunt in fear of hurting the ones we love feelings. if anybody can take it sag man can. be bold, fun, light, fiesty and confident. say what you mean and mean what you say and be the loving, charming, sexy woman we were bought in this world to be. they will love you for it 🙂click to expand

^lol.
I see where you're coming from with some observations, and from what I've witnessed on the outside...the shady variety of Sags are unwilling to abide by their set of expectations for partners(i.e. requests lover to remain exclusive while not exactly monogamous themselves, doesn't want s/o communicating with exes despite that they do so in secrecy).
Not trying to hate or claim most/all Sagittarius as guilty of the above offenses. Those genuinely ready for romantic involvement generally DON'T pull that sh!t. However, it's a matter of sufficient learning experience for those notorious irresponsible Sagittarians. For instance a couple of friends under this sign didn't seem to understand the extent of damage caused by careless mistakes until someone they'd fallen for was equally ruthless with their hearts--or worse.
The potential is there, in my book. Some simply haven't yet weighed the notion.
