Yeah..I know...and so was Denzel. Denzel should have won the Oscar for his role in Malcom X, John Q and/or Glory, but what did he win the oscar for—? The worst freakin role he's ever played. A corrupt, heartless piece of scum of a cop in Training Day. Same thing with Halle Barry..she was excellent in The Dorothy Dandrige Story, but what did she win an Oscar for— Monster's Ball, where she had to perform IN MY OPINION, one of the most degrading love scenes EVER for an established actress, which she said was a new form of ART for her...She wanted to play the bad girl for a change..Okay, WHATEVER,....but you won one of Hollywood highest honors for the role of the "bad girl", but not for the positive portrayal of another great actress life, Dorothy Dandrige?...Hollywood...LOL...gotta love'em.click to expand

Personally, I find it disgusting that the only time talented black actors are awarded is when they play negative roles. It's being stereotyped in an indirect way. I'd refuse such an Oscar if I were them.
Gabourey Sedibe won for playing Precious- a negative role.
Forest whatever won for playing Idi Amin- a negative role.
Lupita for playing a slave girl- nothing positive about that.
Yet actors like Leonardo Dicaprio can win an Oscar just for spitting at the end of the ship. I'm not saying Leo is a bad actor, because he's great...it's just that Hollywood is biased when it comes to its stars.click to expand

Entry #2, Dear DXPNET Diary,
I am starting to believe that we Libras, or at least this Libra, suffer from Misophonia:
People who have misophonia are most commonly angered, and even enraged, by common ambient sounds, such as other people clearing their throats, clipping their nails, brushing their teeth, chewing crushed ice, eating, slurping, drinking, breathing, sniffing, talking, sneezing, yawning, walking, chewing gum, laughing, snoring, typing on a keyboard, whistling or coughing; saying certain consonants; or repetitive sounds.[9] Some are also affected by visual stimuli, such as repetitive foot or body movements, fidgeting, or movement they observe out of the corners of their eyes; this has been termed misokinesia, meaning hatred of movement.[10] Intense anxiety and avoidant behavior may develop, which can lead to decreased socialization. Some people feel the compulsion to mimic what they hear or see.[11] Mimicry is an automatic, non-conscious, and social phenomenon. It has a palliative aspect, making the sufferer feel better. The act of mimicry can elicit compassion and empathy, which ameliorates and lessens hostility, competition, and opposition. There is also a biological basis for how mimicry reduces the suffering from a trigger.[6]
I have a co-worker who speaks loudly, drums her nails on the desk, taps her feet, blows bubbles in the back of her throat, coughs up a lung every second, and is repetitive.
