Wanting Things To Change My View Of Libras...

Hey everyone.
I need advice from Libras, since I don't have access to many here. I'll try to make it short.
I am a Gemini with Aries moon. I'm extremely impatient, and I hate that. I have a bad history with being charmed and played by Libras. So much so, I've written countless songs about them and have had a vendetta against them ever since.
A Libra 17 hours away from me contacted me on a chat site, under the guise of being a Scorpio (I mistakenly thought October 22nd birthday deemed him as one, he had no interest in astrology so he wasn't sure.) I thought he was attractive, but wasn't particularly interested in a Scorpio (worse experiences than Libras). But his charm and humor was just so amazing that it broke through my defense and I found out he was a man of many talents.
Basically he was perfect.
One week into our little "courtship", I discovered he was a Libra.
Suddenly, it all made sense.
He was very honest and upfront, and thought abstract thoughts that he said only I could understand. I know he's definitely interested, we've been talking nonstop daily for a month and a half, but all of....a.....sudden.....
He backed up? I would get internally upset, but never show it, I would give him his space, but he'd disappear for a MAX of one day, not anything outrageous but it's disturbing to me because this funny pattern is popping up out of nowhere. He still always contacts me first, I'm never in any hurry to reply but...well...I don't want to prejudge him because of my twisted view of Libras but it's freaking me out in my mind.
Someone please knock some sense into me...lol.

No we haven't met yet. I don't want to suggest it and make him feel like I'm jumping the gun but I wouldn't mind doing it if I had to. We had discussed meeting in person on my upcoming birthday trip, but that's all the way in May =/ Is this moving at the right pace and I'm just being impatient or what? lol

Theres not usually such a thing as "too quick" for Libra guys. Its not a good thing though. Its better to keep the pace slow but to not.make the mistake of letting them think its bdcause you're not interested. Libras will chase but they will only chase hope. If you do anything that they take as you not being interested they will be gone!
Wasnt really.much advice there and I cant change your view (mainly because my view is the same haha) but just be careful and tread slowly whilst still letting him know you are into him!
p.s I would pick a flighty Libra over an intense Scorp ANY day lol

Thanks everyone for the swift responses, and they all made sense. I just need to understand this common Libra space thing. To me, not talking to someone means they're not on your mind at all...the last Libra that did that to me, claimed he was "busy" but had another gf in another state...so you can see why I'm all battered in the brain at the moment.
Feeling a lot better though. He kind of dipped on a really really good note, after telling me he thought he was starting to fall in love with me, we texted for a bit and then he like.....died.
Hasn't even been on any social networking for like two days.
I have reason to believe he's dead....lmao.
