It's a 'VERY' scary thought, maybe one only time will tell...and if so, either science on this level with have to be quickly abandoned for unethical reasons, or a whole new set of societal moral standards would have to be created for this all new human race...
...certainly more questions than answers:
? ((can)) the human body survive without a soul in the first place? (this is where religion & science will definately merge)
? or will people wake up, mind, body & soul intact; centuries later, cured from whatever ailed them?
? what about culture shock, lost 'loved ones'??
? and if so, how in the end would this eventually impact our world population, while it's very likey that someday the full genetic-code for the human-aging gene will finally be unravelled and possibly ((conquered.))
(In the very end however, who really does get to ('play God') in the future of our ever-evolving human race; the real people who live in it or the 'institution' that may someday destroy it??)

"A totalitarian regime crushes all autonomous institutions in its drive to seize the human soul."
-Arthur M.Schlesinger, Jr.
what i believe is, if you don't believe in something then it's not happening for ya. not unless someone else really really really want that to happen for you then maybe it'll happen for you if you allow it. make any sense?
for example, if you were an ordinary person who wanted to be a singer. you can be if you wanted to but if you wanted to make it big, you have to believe and make it happen for ya. say you didn't want to make it big but loves to sing so every wednesday night you go to a local karaoke bar and got discovered by some kind of recording manager and wanted you to sign a contract blah blah.. then it's up to you if you wanted to or not..
bad example i know... or God would be another great example. but that's a whole new topic there.
anyhow, i believe that reincarnation exist and it's like recycable souls. hmm...
example, hair on your scalp or body have life cycles. they grow and fall out. grow and fall out. grow and fall out but they are not the same hair strands as the ones that fell out. some grow out of the same follicle and some don't but it's growing in the same person. so let me see if i can interpret this to souls..
* person = life
* follicle = body
* hair strands = soul
hair strands grow from follicles in a person.
souls grow from bodies in a life. OR
souls grow from life in bodies. nah, i like the first one better.
so if i go by the first one: "souls grow from bodies in a life." does that mean, different souls grow from many bodies in one life? so, there are many lives as to there are many persons (people)? so, within that life, is that why some people remember their old past lives? hmm....... hmmm.. hm...
daymn, i'm good. well, at least i think i am. he he
you know, if it ever makes any sense to anyone.. i want credit! lol
