So, if you pass or fail ... then it has nothing to do with you?

It has to do with a chance on whether an invisible entity wants you to be a loser or a success?

That last implication above ^^^^^^ is what will constitute whether you've lost or succeeded, though, certainly, you have no idea what that means.
