this....

“I think that New York is the new model for the new concentration camp, where the camp has been built by the inmates themselves, and the inmates are the guards, and they have this pride in this thing that they’ve built—they’ve built their own prison—and so they exist in a state of schizophrenia where they are both guards and prisoners. And as a result they no longer have—having been lobotomized—the capacity to leave the prison they’ve made or even to see it as a prison.”

I'd say the 1980s were the last time we lived to excess with no walls, rather than the 60's but I wouldn't really know.

I remember in some travel thread recently about Dubai, someone said ... enjoy it while it lasts because it's just a bubble living off borrowed time for the next 20 years... and I thought, that's exactly why I want to go there, it's exactly what makes it beautiful.

Yep the 80's, that's where they entrapped us, and turned us all into their slaves.

"It is hardly ever right and propitious to choose isolation. Without keeping an ear on what is happening in the streets, you will be unable to protect yourself. About the only thing that constant human contact cannot facilitate is thought. The weight of society’s pressure to conform, and the lack of distance from other people, can make it impossible to think clearly about what is going on around you. As a temporary recourse, then, isolation can help you to gain perspective. Many a serious thinker has been produced in prisons, where we have nothing to do but think. Machiavelli could write The Prince only once he found himself in exile and isolated on a farm far from the political intrigues of Florence.

The danger is, however, that this kind of isolation will sire all kinds of strange and perverted ideas. You may gain perspective on the larger picture, but you lose a sense of your own smallness and limitations.

Also, the more isolated you are, the harder it is to break out of your isolation when you choose to— it sinks you deep into its quicksand without your noticing. If you need time to think, then, choose isolation only as a last resort, and only in small doses. Be careful to keep your way back into society open."

This is why I need to build a cult!

@tiziani hows this pitch?

Well its really common to set ourselves up to achieve these really insignificant goals, that are actually damaging to our human spirit. The world we live in is made up, it exist because we believe it exists, and it gains and keeps its power because we give it strength by play into it.

Deep in all of our hearts we know that none of this shit we give power to is important, our jobs cars houses ect. but we still choose to live our lives in a way that gives these things priority. Maybe your are just starting to feel the lie come up more and more subconsciously. And this is affecting your happiness, and causing you to seek out more reckless substitutes to feel alive!

If so there are a lot of other productive and healing ways to feel alive, and if you're interested I'll let you know how you can join our group to ride yourselves of all these material things and turn it into something good, to help others.

well it seemed like the guy was really at a low place in his life, and i really tried to deliver what it seemed he needed, obviously he was confused and doesn't know what he needs, but we can give him that knowledge and set him on the right path, to health and happiness.
