Agree with this statement or not really?

It is being quoted very often by many younger woman, espeacially those that are trying to be tough.

I personaly don't agree with it. I think both man & woman needs both.
One EXCEPTION though can be: a woman that is also a mother. She perhaps do need only to be wanted by her man since she gets the love from her child. Hm? That I wouldn't know since I don't have a child.

Give me some thaughts on this. Both guys and gals.

Ehh... No. Not that being courted/pursued isn't enjoyable to a degree (if that's what she meant by needing to be wanted - and she probably did), but it's definitely not all there is to it. I can't identify. Woman or man, we are all human beings. The desire to be loved is in our nature.

It is so ridiculous, so I guess this would mean that a "real tough" woman don't need love cause that makes her weaker, meaning that all males are pigs uncapable for loving and basically real woman should know better and need only that what "male can offer" - wanting them (in terms of pure desire).
