Sweetwater bungalows... aka glamping structures. If you buy the basic kit and build yourself its around 3k per tent. Lovely design with a vinyl free flowing 'roof' and a canvas interior roof to allow for great airflow. Lasts 15 years in the right climate.

Rainproof, wind proof to 75mph, and can take light snow loads.

You can put your own windows/doors and create that indoor outdoor feel. Must be built on a raised deck/platform.

In the time of covid this is a great cost effective alternative to a 50k+ adu for a home office, guest suite, classroom etc.

Really really love these! We recently bid on 2 properties that have lots of land but small existing homes. With a 3-5yr custom build plan for a secondary structure or addition, something like this would allow for more useable space in the meanwhile.

Lotus belle tent is another alternative. But personally I find the circular shape is a bit more constricting for furniture placement. This is more appropriate as an alternative to a covered patio or she/he shed. Or maybe a fun alternative to a tree house for kids. Bougie setup for coachella... that kinda vibe. But its a bit on the pricier side imo.

This thread is exactly my style . I lived in a choom for a long time, and a military tank...and I love camping and RVs.

what is a choom?

A very, very large covered tent/teepee that nomads and some types of Inuits, Siberians and Mongolians dwell in. Tribal people that live in icy and snowy environments traditionally stay in chooms. There is always a fireplace in the center and people usually only stay in a choom for a week, tops.

Most of the time, nomadic families stay in chooms with their dogs but I built my own choom by myself and it was just me, my pretty rats and my dog living there. We were all very cozy and happy.

Yep, a choom is to a teepee as a yurt is to a wigwam
