Okay, so as usual you're out there in the real world; in an elevator, in the cafeteria line with work colleagues, eating outside a cafe --

Then you remove yourself from your head and take the time out to pay attention to other things besides what you're thinking and how you feel - anxious, happy, sad, bored - and then BAM! you see him/her:

An old man. A teenage girl. Twin toddlers.

Doesn't matter if they're attractive or you're attracted to them.

In fact you are NOT sexually attracted to them, though you know in a different scenario (if you were a teenager like the teenage girl or a toddler like the toddler twins) you WOULD be.

You just feel... like you wouldn't mind knowing them.

You find them endearing. Because of their makeup.

The way they look; you know, a Tom Cruise/Owen Wilson nose here, a mole there, wolfish eyebrows, long cheek wrinkle-dimples when they laugh, a just-the-right-amount of overbite, large innocent eyes that scan the world with wonderous pleasure etc

What physical attributes do you see in others that gives them character? That betrays their depth.

For me its wrinkles. I find them attractive, too and can't wait to have some myself.

I see people with them and it makes me KNOW they've seen life and then some. I know talking to them will be an EXPERIENCE.

On an attraction level it's always girls with angry alert eyes. I can just tell they love fiercely when they love and take love seriously. They'll worship you as much as much as you worship them and are strong, smart and, depiste the initial frost, KIND.

Back on the platonic attraction, I find people with deep long dimples when the laugh where it looks like a wrinkle to have the most stories. Man or woman. They LOVE to laugh and have seen all sorts of funny shit.

Finally wolfish eyebrows. People with them look almost cruel and calculating and usually are, too.

But, Aquarian here so even that is not deterrent enough for me to keep away.

After all, the cruel aren't wicked to people who can think like them.

So: You?

I'm just analyzing some actors/actresses that are arresing on screen and the way they look and what makes me FORGET I'm watching a movie star do his/her job:

Jude Law (Cap) and Leo Di Caprio (Scorp) both look like pretty-boys. But both have very cruel looking eyes and eyebrows shaped in a "V", which of course betrays the depth.

Laura Linney (aqua) just looks wonderful. She has the most "amazed" eyes I've seen on a chick. There's a little girl peering out of them, sure enough.

Robert De Niro (leo) has very small eyes and lots of wrinkles. Pisces mooner like me. He gives off the reserved-but-corteous-guy-with-a-feiry-temper vibe pretty easy (also like me).

Monica Belluci (libra) and Salma Hayek (virgo?) have the angry eyes thing going on. HOT. But also, will love you fiercely they seem to say.

Joaquin Phoenix (scorp). This guy looks evil. Like a hawk. But like I said with these types, if you aren't stupid you have nothing to fear. He pobab;y isn't evil, though, he just LOOKS it. Fucking awesome actor.

Jason Bateman (cap). He is the awesomeness. That is all.

+1 on this thread by the way.

I am an avid people watcher, doesn't matter where I am I like to observe (discreetly) the people around me. I'll look at their expressions, how they carry themselves, what they're doing etc. and wonder about what kind of life they live and what sort of person they are.

Physically I find I'm drawn to people (not necessarily romantically) with smiley eyes and a general mischievous expression. Guys with beards too, again it's not a sexual thing.

I look for intelligence, warmth and humor in the eyes. An aura of confidence, someone who can handle their business. In children I look for a sense of mischief. High spirits and wonder at the world. I do enjoy the elderly, for their wisdom and sense. And I think when I look upon an older face that it contains what life has dealt them. I find the women incredibly beautiful, and the men handsome. I do not mind how my face has changed over the years, and not afraid to face myself in 20 years, nor 30, or heaven willing, 40.

This is me, also. Especially the wondering about their lives part.

And what about people who give off heat? Anyone else notice that?

This tennis player Roger Federer (leo). I see his pictures, right, and hes HOT.

Not hot sexually. Hot as in I can see anger, lust, vengance, arrogance, cunning, jealousy, all those emotions pouring out of his smile.

Fucking un-nerving

I think that's what power looks like, actually. When you can't help people seeing your strength even when you look calm.

The guy looks like he can kill, no joke.

I always love your threads, &2gedanow. You bring the Aquarian out in me.

I also find wrinkles SUPER interesting on people. It definitely gives character and leaves you feeling like they've got wisdom younger types just don't have yet.

I've got wrinkles around my eyes. They've never bothered me because they were created from my laughter and smiles. Its the one in my foreheard that was clearly developed from my angry face that annoys me!

I've got dimples. Sometimes I like them, sometimes they just look too damn deep!

For me...there are just certain people that glow. I often wonder if there is some kind of aura that I see with something other than my eyes. You just FEEL the warmth and the kindness. No matter what type of mood I'm in...even my raging anger that caused my forehead wrinkle...people like that give me a brief moment of relief.

Anyone read the book Blink? Its an OUTSTANDING book about the perceptions we get from things we see that we don't even pick up on consciously.. I don't THINK actual physical characters jump out at me. I think its way more about expressions.

Several times, just for kicks, I'll turn the volume off on my tv and watch commentary...usually political. I try to decide whether or not I'd like the person and what they're saying without actually hearing what they're saying to determine how much I am able to pick up from their expressions and body language alone. Then I turn on the volume and listen. I have always been right! I find that fascinating.

I have wolfish/pointy eyebrows 😢
Although I admit I can be cruel if needs must.
I love what some peeps have already mentioned, scars etc.
I love when a girl shoots a narrow eyed look or wide eyed gaze/twinkle when you pick up on something in conversation that you shouldn't have/wasn't meant to initially.
Cheeky laughs behind the hand because that person knows they're being naughty and somewhat childish 🙂
Old men when their eyes light up or go a bit watery because you're actually listening to them ramble on and not thinking 'crazy old man', and how animated they become.
My nephew when he's in 'break stuff' mood. He looks round to see what I'll do, then looks away, then looks again, smiles a bit, looks away etc.
I just mirror him and smile, he might faff around a little but never really gets destructive, he'll look again and I just shrug, hahaha.
People who honk (for lack of a better term) a little when they laugh.
When people start making serious shapes with their hands when describing something in depth or they're really getting into the conversation.
I like how the raising of an eyebrow can speak volumes at times.
Anyone who has a look of mischief gets my vote too.

Wow...

You SO remind me of my Aqua Guru. She loves wrinkles in people and says it shows they've lived a full life.
For me (Libra trait if you must), I hardly see things this way. I don't distort the features and take them out to tell their own story. I look at them in their whole package and see if they fit nicely. It's a for lack of a better word, bundled thing. I like to see that their eyes fit their nose and mouth, and their hair style accentuates their whole face, or etc. Something like that.

The face hardly tells the whole story.. I've learnt not to take peeps/things at face value; I'm usually wrong if I'm flippant bout it.

In beauty, I see the whole package.. including personality.

But if you meant physiognomy, then yes..

I've always wondered what significance do shaved heads have
I wonder why people feel the need for moustaches and others don't
What compells some to shave their legs and some not to (laziness perhaps)?

I like significance of moles
I like palmistry
I tend to look at toes and their deformities

*My guy friend asked me once why boobs have different positions. He noticed some were high up on the clavicles, others were close to stomachs; I didnt notice them before but there you go.

I agree on the arched eyebrows. They give a menacing look and are usually sported by dominant people.

Also, I like guessing a person's starsign, and am happy when I get it right.

But I don't really like people watching very much..
