i am so stupid for choosing law when the very reason why i chose this degree was because of my desire to serve the society. it was only last year when i discovered that my truest desire is to become an engineer! 😢

i couldn't begin studying now even though i wanted to. i still want to become a lawyer but i am often reminded of how lawyers only work for the best interests of their clients, and not of the society. 😢

if i could only turn back time, i will go back to high school and make a much better decision. 😢

thanks much, anjiepants. 🙂 i wish i find motivation to study now. it's hard whenever you think about wanting to work for the society but just couldn't because you have to protect the interests of your client/s. @_@

I don't want money out of services to protect particular clients. I had been fooled by the facts I knew. I was wrong. I'm stupid. Now, stop making me feel worse... 😢

Doesn't make much of a difference. You are still serving the interests of your client and worse, you won't get anything in return... 😢

By the way, I'm in my final year in law school now... so there's no reason why I should back out. I just need motivation. @_@

I want to work for a research company doing research work, etc... but I might need to earn a master's degree for that. However, I couldn't back out from law because I only have 8 months left before finishing my degree...

I can't. We have the bar months after, which is friggin harder than the bar exams in the US. Only 17-20% pass. I have to ace my classes so I could pass. I still get good grades though. My lowest is 86... but I just lost motivation... just now. @_@

Excel in the exam and you increase the likelihood of being headhunted by the top firms. Only way to do that is to be at the top. You're in competition with every one of your class mates. Beat them all.

I have to get this mood out first. I've done well the past four weeks. Classes had just begun this June so I'm fairly doing well this semester. I just don't feel it today because I remembered I just wanted to serve the society. The only reason why I was doing well the past four weeks is the mere realization that women like/want lawyers. It did help me. Lol. I was praised by my groupmates in the internship program for writing a good inter-office memo. But then I remembered that this is not what I wanted to work for. It is way too late now, I guess, because I am on my final year... so I am actually looking for something to change my mind and get me back to work.

How do you know if I didn't read your posts when I clearly and categorically said your opinion doesn't matter, i.e., that it doesn't make any good addition to the discussion? It doesn't matter not because it wasn't heard but because it doesn't make any addition to the topic/discourse at all. How I was able to say that it doesn't matter at all should indicate to you that I have indeed read your points.

Anyway, it is way too late to cease my studies. I only have 8 months to suffer. If I stop, it's synonymous to wasting my first 4 years in law school! That's 4 years! If I stop, I won't get a degree at all even though I could finish it in only 8 months!

That is why I just wanted motivation. Whether I decide eventually to litigate or apply for a master's program is something that I still have to decide. For now, I just want to finish Law because I only have 8 months left! @_@

Okay Firebunny, what you do is this ~~~ you say *8 months out of my life is just a drop in the ocean*

When i think I cant get over or through something i measure it in time and to the relevance of my lifetime. So for example...going to the dentist, for someone who is scared of that..it is probably one hour out of your life etc. Time is speeding up now so that 8 months will fly by

Try that and it may help you to get through

Actually, I'm having problems striking a balance between and among studies, teaching load, workout and a job at the legislature. There are just so many to juggle! I hope I can make it! It's really a lot. I need to know how I could time-manage myself off of these! @_@
