Do you have a sibling who you think is manipulative? Any advice?

My brother is a libra with a taurus moon and a venus in virgo. We are suppose to be like bff since our signs are compatible if you look at our whole chart, but I've been thinking of how he always manipulates me if he has something he wants. I get what I want by working hard, saving money and if I don't have enough I don't push it and get something with the money I have, I don't manipulate people into sharing with my expenses just to save enough money so I can buy the things that I want. I stay with my partner right now and working as a part time VA so my income is not much, I'm also still in the process of paying my debt with my brother and my partner which accumulated when I was unemployed so in short I'm just starting to get back on my feet. My brother has everything he wants (gadgets, a house which my parents live as well, a car that his company provided. He buys things that I couldn't and wouldn't buy because of how pricey it is. I feel like he wants to buy something again in the near future and he wants to save enough money to buy it so he talked to me in sharing the internet subscription, electricity in using the AC in our room in his house which I seldom use because I stay with my partner and only go to his house when we have occasions like birthdays. This isn't the first time that this happened so I'm thinking of ways not to get manipulated by him again, I know he wouldn't stop until he gets what he wants and convince me to share the expenses with him. Any suggestion would be appreciated

He has my ex husband's sun and moon. He was obsessed with getting rich and retiring young, because he didn't like to work, and had expensive hobbies, like travelling abroad for weeks and months at a time. Yes, he was manipulative, and even got a banker fired because of that.

Be firm and say no. If you don't live there, but he does, you have no business sharing the costs, irrespective whether you can afford them or not.

Yes I notice the power struggles we both don't want to be treated low by the other, however I don't think I can manipulate someone even if I wanted to. I'm not even confident and great when it comes to speaking. He actually thinks high of himself and low of me because he has the status, his salary is twice as mine, he graduated. I know his manipulating me and I'm letting him because I don't want conflict by bursting my anger out of him. His even telling me what to do, and He knows I can be manipulated especially in the past because my mom does it to me as well which is why I got out and stayed with my partner. This time it's different I don't want to be manipulated but I'm afraid when my partner goes abroad I need to stay with my family hence getting manipulated by them again

Not sure but looks like his sun is in 12th house plus he has sag rising. 12th house energies are highly emotionally manipulative if they choose to be. My sibling is also 12th house sun.

As far as advice. Don't be triggered by his behavior. He likely knows your weakness so don't let him have it. Hide it as we scorpio moons know how which is by avoidance

He actually does, and he doesn't like his intentions be known,very secretive. The problem is I don't know how to avoid him when the time comes that my partner goes abroad because the only place I can stay with my salary right now is with him and my parents

Yes but I mean avoid interactions as much as possible. We have very similar placements except Pisces ASC. I think your pisces asc is drawn to empathy but don't be tricked.

My sibling was very close to me but also older so lot of advice was actually not good for me at all. So I avoided as much as possible.

My Sag sister with Pisces moon was incredibly manipulative in her early 20s lol. Living in the same house with her was torture, I was quite nasty too and she used to steal my clothes Big Grin

Oh good old days.. Now She's all grown up, living on the other side of the globe and I must admit we have a perfect relationship, that includes text messages and occasional video calls LOL

You need to set boundaries and distance yourself from this person.

Get out of his head and stop absorbing and mirroring his perspective and values.

It shouldn't matter that you don't make as much money nor what anyone thinks of you with the exception of yourself.

And don't give me the blood is thicker than water. You're miserable and being manipulated. Stop being a doormat.

Mirror his energy and just steer the conversation to talk about all your debt you gotta pay off. Maybe even ask him for his help for a change. That should shut him up quick.

Even if he was trying to get you to share the expenses just tell him you can't afford it and you're not living there so why pay for something you're not using? End of story. And you owe him money? I would focus on paying that off first.

Now if you were to live with him I can see sharing costs to be reasonable if you were using the electricity etc but if it was my sibling and I earned more money and they were only staying with me temporarily I wouldn't ask for money. You're family after all.

Maybe you can pay what you actually use. If his bills get increased by 20% while you live there then pay the 20% extra or do you mean you want to stay there for free?
