I'll post the winner of this debate by 9PM EST tomorrow. If someone hears from Aquasnoz about when he is available, shoot me a PM so I know. If he can do it then, I'll post the challenge at the same time. If not, well, we'll figure something out. I don't want him to be at a huge disadvantage just because everyone else is state-side. This challenge will take a little bit longer than Nights'. In fact, they will be getting progressively more difficult.

i played all of the healers in cata. getting people to not derp that way was a constant struggle. i usually tank so that kind of stress was something i wasn't used to. it's amazing how stupid people get because they want to keep their dps up.click to expand

While it may appear a political issue at first glance, it is actually a question of philosophy on a national scale. Debaters, here and elsewhere, are judged on how thoroughly they address the topic(s) of the debate and defend their position(s) against attack. Whether they choose to agree or disagree with the topic is pertinent only to the construction of their respective arguments; it is completely immaterial to how they are judged.
Although I broke it down as three separate issues to make it easier to answer, the topic only asked one basic question: is it philosophically sound for a republic, which operates for all intents and purposes as a representative democracy, whose legal traditions are steeped in the peaceful acceptance of the majority will, to militarily intervene in the affairs of other nations?
Only half of you fully addressed the topic and it is interesting to note that the winner would be different depending on the time when the debate was called.
TheMoodyVulcan won the debate over how best to improve the economic situation of the US. You provided excellent justification for why the current system is not working, a variety of strategies by which change can be implemented, and defended your position rather well against the challenges presented to you.
