I've had a few of these, only occasionally they will give a gift or help you out if they're not doing anything. I call them the "care when convenient" friends.

to be honest, I never had these type of friends, no fake ass friends, I am too lazy for maintaining any friendships, no chit-chats, with the ones who are not total real ones
real friends are from childhood/school, afterwards its either an instant connection (once in 5 years maybe) or good talk and a no need to hear it again tomorrow
Edit: to be fair, i dont revail my problems, only after like 1-2 years of steady friendship, so I expect them to guess it without telling it and be there for me without telling anything.... i am lucky to have friends like this, but they also know they have to come to me
