What are your guilty pleasures? Stuff you know is complete and utter garbage but love anyway? Like TV Shows, Films, Music?
I'll start. I want to preface that I think I have decent music taste. I love stuff like Radiohead, MGMT, Portishead, Broken Down Social Scene, etc.
And yet... I absolutely LOVE really horrid 80's pop music. On weekends at this indie bar I go to, they play 80's. I grew up in the 80's am a total 30-something. So while it is on the surface artistically garbage, it brings back happy memories. When they played Easy Lover by Phil Collins I busted a move on the dance floor.
I dont care what anyone says, Phil Collins is the man. And yes I do love some Bryan Adams too (only his 80's stuff like Run To You and Heaven) BTW I Want To Know by The Information Society is the shiznit. And Under The Milky Way by The Church and True by Spandau Ballet are a tie for my favorite 80's song to slow dance to with a girl.
Books - *Coughs* Harry Potter *Clears throat* Sorry... Anyway, i dont think its crap though. Just embarassing given my age.
Movies - The Monster Squad, Big, Pee-Wee's Playhouse. I may have to take those off cause if someone doesn't like those flicks, they are dead inside as a human being. And have no sense of wonderment anymore.
TV Shows - Ugh this is going to be really hard as a straight dude to say but I only watch this show because Im a huge fan of an actress that was on a previous tv show I loved. *Shouts* My name is Zenarcade and I like Desperate Housewives. But only because of Felicity Huffman. Loved her on Sports Night and she kills it on this show too.
And for the token reality show - (Well I abhor Reality Shows for the most part) But damn I love and miss Behind The Music on VH1. I mean there is endless amounts of entertainment watching Rockstars whine. *It was so hard, I dated 4 different models and cheated on them with only two groupies. My life is so horrible"
Your turn peeps...

I adore R n B, Soul, Neoclassical, Jazz..and I'm white as driven snow.
Books - 1800s - early 1900s books on home care, beauty, deportment and housewifery. Old cookbooks. Oh yeh. Saleratus, butter the size of a walnut, beat briskly till your arm falls off. Yeeha.
Movies - The Last Airbender, anything Marvel/Superhero related ( sans Hulk, phew ) and anything remotely smacking of lace, corsets and a 6 hour stint rife with British accents and large manor houses. Historical, romance or just straight out silly.
TV - Haven't watched much in ages, but when I dis it was cooking programs, DIY, Masterpiece Theatre, surgical/medical/forensics. Bones, Being Human ( UK ), Skins ( UK ), CSI, Cold Case Files. Chop and screw auto shows like Overhaulin', tattoo related shows. NY Ink, L.A. Ink, Miami Ink, etc.

I agree. I'm of the opinion that BBC programming is always better. The US swipes a lot of shows from the Beeb.
