Gaming style

So, I've been playing video games all of my life, and after a long break, started playing again due to COVID. I downloaded the last Tomb Raider and Resident Evil 2 Remake because I have been a fan of both since '97. Anyway, I wanted to know about your gaming style and whether it resonates with your sun sign. My certainly does because stealth missions are a nightmare for me, I always end up in a slaughter fest. Me shooting 10 guys and running around to avoid shots. As far as the horror elements I get scared as shit and throw curse words, yelling while I shoot. My Aries nature shows. Lol
I have no fire in my chart so no violent games for me. Childish games, challenging puzzle games (best suited for Geminis of all mankind), word games (also best suited for Geminis)
RPG'S for me along with MMOS. I was really big in to call of duty and battlefield when they first came out not so much these days cuz of the built in aim assist they have but I do still play BF just so I can fly the jets and helicopters (raining death from above) lol. Playing eso currently cuz I can solo most of the content with my templar. Libra sun, Aries rising ,Taurus moon.
Wow I remember college days. I used to play Tomb Raider while listening to SevenDust. I also played Harvest Moon, Monster Rancher and of course Mario.

But yeah my go-to games are Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy and Resident Evil. I play a lot of Tekken and Mortal Kombat with my teenage son.

I also play the occasional Sims if I wanna relax and just build houses.

If you're gonna ask which game is my fave though, definitely Final Fantasy which I guess resonates with my Venusian bits. I live for the storylines and aesthetics.

I also played the Tomb Raider 2013 release this year. Gave up after an hour as it seemed too grindy and quicktime events are like a bad hangover of the Wii era.

I try to do them as quick as possible, looked up how to speedrun Fallout 3, did a game called Alpha Protocol were you can play it stealth or use tech weapons, I built up the guns and ran and gunned it.

Not really scared by games or films.

Aries, sun, scorp moon, virgo rising.

The 2013 game was a reboot of the series, and when it came out (semi)open world maps and leveling up was a big thing due to games like Elder Scrolls Skyrim and Assassin's creed. This bothered me a lot because all games started to look and feel the same. Anyway as a big fan of Miss Croft they could've named the game differently because it was very raw, the story lame. The second and third game were a bit better, but still far from the Lara I know and love. I think that they use the name in hopes of attracting more people.

Resident Evil did the same with RE Zero and RE 7 ( I think these are the names ). I never played them and never will because the only RE moment of the game was the title. I watched pewdipie play, wouldn't go through the hassle

Guys thank you for replying, but the point of the topic was to see if our true natures ( sun sign, maybe mars and mercury ) show through our gaming choices and tactics. Hence my description of my low stealth abilities and unnatural precision at headshots and direct combat ( Aries energy ). I mostly suck at strategic games because I never develop on time. I also suck at DOTA which I hate because I love that Universe and its aesthetics
I only play Sims on PC. I'm up to date on all of the Sims 4 expansions packs except Cottage Living. I'm very excited for my sims to milk some cows for $ 40!

I seriously love this game, in the beginning it lets you pick your birth month/day and plays the story for your sign specifically. So yes it fits me.

So far it’s been good…

Also the trailer has lots of Moon imagery which is also cancerian.

wow cool, what is the name of the game?
Mine is pretty simple. I prefer a good $ 2000+ gaming laptop at a pretty cheap desk with a higher end chair. I just prefer the compactness of a laptop, and find the screen being attached to keyboard more comfortable. I also prefer a higher end mouse and headset. Other then that I keep a salt rock lamp on the desk. Mostly because I like the relaxing type of light it gives off. My perfect type of game is something I can immerse myself into and get completely enamored with. Because of that I'm not as much into multi-player games. Mostly because people suck, and I hate any type of pvp game. I like solo play much more. I just feels better. Like I don't want to play a video game that gives me anxiety, or angers me. Imo what is the point of that? I play games to excape life on occasion, so im kind of picky on the type I like.
Resident Evil 2 Remake is a beautiful game. I have it too.

Now days I love playing puzzles when I can. Games like Chess but also

anything that has puzzles within. As far as video games, I've been playing

Super Bomberman on the Super Nintendo. It's a soothing game to me.

The music, the nostalgia, the puzzles I love. Resident Evil 2 has the puzzles also.

It isn't just horror in that one. Which, by the way, is rare that attracts me now --the horror.

>> Cultist Simulator

>>Super Bomberman

>>Ico/Shadow of the colossus, the last gaurdian

I find that the 5th house, house of pleasure, has a lot to do with gaming choices. My 5th house cusp is within the "twins"

of Gemini. It's a inquisitive energy there and things are best when constantly changing, puzzling or interesting and

so these are games I tend to gravitate towards. My Star Sign, My Moon sign and the ruler of my chart also play a

part. The ruler of my chart, my ascendant is Saturn and I also love games that constantly give a challenge or

games that don't easily give rewards. Games, where you must constantly put in the work. SO maybe these

things are key factors as to what type of games someone may be into :

>>The Sun [play style ]

>>The moon [emotional needs/needs of a game]

>>The V House [ games that keep our interest/ our broad selection/ choice of games]

>>Venus/Mercury [the look/ style of a game we appreciate or want/ how we think/how we play within a game]

>>The Chart Ruler (Ascendant Ruler) [the type of games possibly we are being molded by life/our

chart ruler to eventually appreciate and like even though we might not have liked them initially as a child.

These are my findings but of course the entire chart can say too

Currently plaiyng a german classic

Watched a little bit of it and it looks like a game of Catan, have you played Catan? Are they similar?

It's probably be inspired by it. Catan came out in 1995 and was a huge success in Germany, while the first Anno (1602) came out in 1998 and has been a german (and probably german only) favourite ever since.

Ohhh okay, I have Catan downloaded on my phone, it’s everywhere here. I had never seen the Anno game you posted, but it clicked. Catan is also a bit difficult prob cause I play against the computer though lol.

Thanks for clarifying(:

I played Catan as a board game. It's really popular here, we even had tournaments for it.

I am not a big fan of Catan and similar games, but I played a lot of board games here in the local club. I love REX and Dead of Winter, and there was one with a Lovecrafrian story setting but I forgot its name. Maybe you can find a board game club in your city and play Catan there?

Interesting!

Never really thought of the correlation between my chart and gameplay style .

I grew up playing a lot of console and pc games, my likes were all over the place I guess that's because of my Gemini ASC

These days I play a lot of survival games, the ones I play the most are dino and animal games (6th house dealing with animals mostly small) like The Isle, Path of Titans, ARK, Animalia. I have an issue sometimes in most games where if I'm not gaging the threat level I'll run in like a tank (Moon conjunct Mars not thinking just reacting) I would also say that it has to do largely with my past of being a WoW addict and being the tank for my group. If I can assess the threat level like need be then I can make a more calculated approach. (Mars in Scorpio 6th)

For example in the game The Isle Legacy Version you can't just charge at a Rex or Acro while playing as a Utah Raptor without some sort of gameplan. Sure, if the Rex is a player that is really bad at fighting you might have some luck charging in lol... but you need to know where to bite, when to go in, you need to calculate your opponent's next move... because one bite and you're fucked. I learned my lesson when I first played it.

Same with LoL, I love that aspect of the game. Anticipating the next move of my enemy. In The Isle's Envirma branch I also can just sit and wait as a Deinosuchus for another player to either drink, run by, or cross the water. It's horrifying when you've spent 2+ hours growing something only to have a giant croc lunge out of the water lol. I would probably say that's because of my Scorpio placements, I can wait a really really long time to make a move.

I just enjoying killing things, building and killing things.

Yes I also have a theory about driving, that it shows our Sun personality 😎
-Favorite: games where you have to scheme and make up strategies and optimize them.

For example tactical games. I'm not talking about dumb 3D shooters with guns, but tactical level management. Simulationist turn based games : Fallout 1, XCOM, etc...

Procedural management games such as FTL , and card games such as MTG shandalar, slay the spire,etc...

Games where you have to understand complex systems and where you are left enough leeway to create your own systems and tactics and try to take over the game's universe.

Games where you must micro manage scarcity and difficult conditions and try to flip your fate.

Card games are pretty good for this where you can create sick combos and literally break the game.

So any games where you have to scheme, doesn't matter if it's puzzle or action.

I'm less attracted to the strategic level of gameplay because grand strategy games tend to railroad you into one unique strategy/ideology where the devs already have their opinions about how things must be made. For example the CIV games are very americano-centric.

I've been looking for a fun town/fortress construction game but most of them have something that I don't like. Either too much emphasis on crafting grind, or zombie shit, or sthg sthg.

-Least favorite: huh, normie movie games. Console FPSes. I never got into tomb raider because it was the embodiement of british vulgarity and at the same time, we nerds had already been playing better FPS games for a long time. All those console movie games : Ubi soft, Electronic arts, all this console shit, you name them, I hate them.

If I want to watch a movie, I watch a movie. If I want to watch a woke movie, well I don't.

I used to enjoy single player FPSes, but most of them have migrated to being console movie games these days.

I spent several (game-time) months of my life playing online matches in the 90s, half-life, unreal tournament, team fortress classic. It was fun but I got it out of my system, I don't really see the point now.

Multi horror online games like DBD look like they could be interesting, as long as you don't have to talk with people. That's the reason I'm less interested in L4D because it looks like it's full of socials.

I can enjoy MMOs and gacha games if there's a good narrative aspect. Well most of them are weeaboo shit and with no interesting narrative or universe, but Star trek online is my most played game on Steam.

I suspect I would enjoy Conan exiles with the fact you can build your town and have sex slaves and explore, but couldn't get around to try it yet.

Apart from that I can enjoy the oddball game in any style , such as hotline miami for example.
Posted by alexscaries

@hydorah Hotline Miami I do really enjoy. I would enjoy it even more if I was better at it. I've not completed it.

It's a unique game. I didn't like the sequel at all.

It's very tactical and you have to use all the tricks that you can. Don't hesitate to use doors to trap the enemies. Don't underestimate silent weapons and the possibility to throw stuff at enemies
Posted by Wizardz_

Only game I ever play is Fate 🤣

I love the dungeon rpg but modern ones have too many keys/controls. I like this one because it's pretty simple to learn. Although I have completed it a few times so it's not that interesting anymore

There's an old rpg game called Titan Quest, I loved playing it because I am very much into mythologies and love the period of ancient civilizations. You can give it a shot (:

I just modify consoles and play Tetris 99 during my down time now.

I recently snagged parts for an old PC from circa 2004 to play my childhood fav, Max Payne. So much awesomeness.

Cinematic experience games such as Half-Life, God of War (2018), Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Witcher series hit the Venusian bits the most.

Simulation racing is always fun too. rFactor, F1 series etc.
