Have you ever experienced a stream of consciousness texter?

It’s the oddest thing. This guy I used to date did this and it wasn’t even like he was wanting a conversation. Now that I’ve blocked him on everything, I’m getting these emails ( after he calmed down and stopped threatening me) that apparently is another one I hadn’t blocked telling me what he’s doing & thinking. I have not responded btw. Like why? And it’s so strange. If I get another one, I’ll just blocked it too. But, I’m wondering has anybody experienced this before? Some sign of mental illness? I’m so curious about human behavior so it’s a bit fascinating to me. Luckily he’s not threatening anymore…

I was way too patient & it got really bad. Which is why he’s blocked now. But I understand exactly what you’re saying!! I honestly think he has borderline personality disorder, but that’s just a guess.

He used to do it in texts when we were dating. But okay fine I could understand writing & not sending when you wanted to discuss something. But this is about anything not necessarily an important subject.

Very annoying! All his phone numbers are blocked, 2 other emails blocked and I reported him on a dating app where I met him. They told me I should file a police report! The only thing is when the emails started on this 3rd email, the first one told me he didn’t do anything he threatened and was finally a reasonable response about deciding not to continue with him. Months later.. so that was good but perhaps I should block now.

Haha yes partially! He’s a Virgo 🤣 but also just telling me things, like what he’s doing now. About job offers, etc just what he’s thinking about. Like he misses that I listened to him, so he’s still talking.. telling me his thoughts. When he was mad, it was horrible and gaslighting type talk.

My sons dad sometimes sends me these long over-the-top mushy, emotional text messages like this and sometimes I don’t know how to reply. It can be overwhelming. He used to gaslight me too, but the stream of consciousness stuff is new and I don’t know what to make of it. he used to be the avoidant type who didn’t share his feelings much and now it flows like verbal vomit.

He didn’t act like this right away. We actually connected in a couple of ways. And he’s very intelligent & I really enjoyed talking with him when he was acting normal.

Most women encountered such men in life I think. I had and among my friends I know that 3 of them had too. Maybe others did too but they didn't talk about it. In my case it was a Sag guy that I met only once. He didn't want to meet again, pretty much wanted to mentally torture me. I was weak at a time and was under his spell for a few months before I woke up and ended all communication with him. Had to block him everywhere cause he tried every source of communication. He tried lies, insults, promises, threats...anything he thought of to try getting the manipulation over me again. It stopped eventually then one day when I stupidly unblocked me on one forum he somehow noticed soon. Contacted me pretending to be all nice and apologizing for his behavior. It took just few responses for him to try talking like he used to again...I blocked him and never heard of him again

Ya that’s why I’m not responding.

Ok I blocked this email too. I need to have peace of mind not be fascinated. Thanks all 🙂

I can be like this. But..only when I'm deeply saddened/depressed. I can't speak for the guy who was messaging you but I would write long messages to my husband because any convo we tried to have erupted into arguments!

So I would write messages to him about my feelings and the situation But hoping he'd reply. He either did but his replies would be sparse or he wouldn't reply.

My stream of consciousness though, was more about getting things off my chest that I couldn't say in arguments.

It helps sort ones thoughts out. At the same time it's a cry for help in doing so too.

Especially when you have no one to talk to about it.

BPD people have trouble regulating and expressing their emotions to the point of being determental. One of the things recommended is journaling. It's a way of getting things out of yourself.

This makes complete sense & I really did try to listen and let him talk. That is until it became a problem for me. I understand completely about journaling.. for me it helps you think, or get thoughts out that you weren’t consciously aware of. He really should be journaling. I can’t be the journal anymore.

I’ll say my piece in concise two liners and I’ll get an influx of long essays in response. I told her that’s not normal and she’s adamant that normal

People write long winded paragraphs.

Then I knew another Virgo Venus and mars on a dating app whose profile is an echo chamber/dear diary. Gets regularly updated with some rant. My Aqua moon is definitely intrigued and tuned in. 😆

OR I might send you a pic of a big fat baby that kinda looks like you and I might check if you've replied after maybe 3 weeks coz it doesn't really mean much to me.

I've learned so much from r/relationship_advice. like the prevalence of a partner moving on with your sibling. but most recently I discovered on there the prevalence of necrophilia 😰 yesterday I was reading Grimes' lolcow thread and I learned that Alex Gray who does all of Tool's art effed corpses at a morgue. I swearrr

eww but I'm curious about neck beard stories.

and it doesn't really help to live this way. I think it's part of why I have like only 2 really good friends (both aquas). I don't really go out of my way to make any and the few people I do have I tend not to go too deep with and only really meet up with after monthsssss. with my family, it's even more 'polite'. but with romantic relations, no boundaries.
