I've never believed that traits other than the physical could be passed on from parent to child.
You know like how they say a kid has his mother's temperament, his father's kindness etc
Let alone a child like myself who didn't grow up with my dad.
But... today after meeting up with him in London, I've realised that I'm the man!
No, not THE man, I'm literally my dad:
Selectively shy, quietly driven, kind but vengeful, foul tempered, prideful, wise...
How the fuck is this possible?
All my life I've literally spent one to two weeks IN A YEAR around the man. Tops!
In those one to two weeks maybe a total of FIVE HOURS I'm in his company.
Yet, I've stolen his identity.
It's kind of unnerving, to be honest.
Is there some kind of scientific explanation or...?
Does your personality mirror that of your parents?
Are you even close to your parents, if the answer is "yes" to the above?
Freaky.
I am very much like both of my parents. Well, pride/stubboness/temper/passion/intensity come from my Dad. My Mom and I are just totally silly together..similar sense of humor and we both vent similarly as well. I get along with both of my parents very well, although I've noticed some things that I don't like in my Dad, I hate in myself.
My brother on the other hand is NOTHING like any of us. I find it very strange.

After finding out who my bio father was and meeting him at nineteen, I realized that I was also exactly like my father in so many ways. I found it freaky too.

What is up with THAT?!
I'm more like my mom but I look like my dad.

I do have alot in common with the mailman...

LOL
Dude? One word: "Reuninion"
My father was a cold blooded killer
My mother an ax murder
I take after both.
I've caught myself exhibiting traits from my mother. She didn't raise me and I hardly ever saw her growing up. I started to talk to her more in my early 20's but even then our contact has been few and far between.
This is actually a very weird phenomenon that I have noticed in my children, especially my son. They did not have their father in their lives (deadbeat dad Sad ) My son will do and say things that are exactly like his dad would do or say. He even makes faces and has mannerisms exactly like him. My daughter has some attributes like him too. Now part of this with my son might be that they are both Aries too.
Very eerie for sure.
I didn't grow up with my dad either but damn are we alike. What makes it weirder is when I finally met all my siblings a few years ago, we all had the same sort of sense of humor/mannerisms
YEH DOMINO
I am my mother's clone. Even though I got my dad's facial features, people still have a hard time deciding who I look more like since me and my mom are so similar.
We make the same faces, say similar things, have the same sense of humor, have pretty much the same handwriting, our hair falls the same way, we're the same size....my sister says we even smell the same. Lol Tongue
But I am very close to her too. So that might be why
smile I know how that goes.

So you come from a family of butchers, then? Good industry, that. People'll always want meat.
Sweeney Todd?
ILL Sweeney your Todd
Oh?
yes freaky but very true I have a silmilar story.
We genetically inherit physical and mental capabilities that have an impact on how see oursevles .... and it's quite normal for people to develop personality traits due to familial inculturization.
For instance ... we are often told how much we are like our deceased grand-family members that we might have never met ... we get conditioned to relate to them, based on influence.

How we interpret it depends greatly on the positions of our planets .. thank goodness for astrology and the importance of it ... it gives us an avenue to understand our experiences different from our other family members, who live within the same unity.
