How do you dxpers manage wealth?

What do your savings/checking accounts look like? Any debts? Max out your 401ks? Any other investments? Have your own business? Ever gotten scammed? Inherited stuff? What is your retirement plan?

I'm not at all good at managing money like at all. I'm a big spender of food and colognes jeweleries anything that make me look good. It seems everytime I put money in my account I'm ready to take it straight back out and buy food. I can literally eat about 400 and something odd dollars on food by myself. Food doesn't last long in my house because of me. Food seems to be the most important part of my daily life. With Libra in the 2nd house you tend to be a big spender of food and aesthetics.

Yes I have my own business

Scammed? I don't like to think so

And I like to consider myself retired. Although I have my own I don't need to work by the hour on some stinking timeclock.

Wow. My Venus is in the 2nd house but I'm kind of the opposite. I'm young but I don't like to spend my own money on food... I definitely would never want food to be a significant chunk of my expenses. Do you at least have an emergency fund for yourself and your family?

I think it's great when people are at least working for themselves by retirement age and not others so you seem to be doing something right. What kind of business do you have?

I meant to type money but wrote wealth lel. I mean most of this community is 30+ so I would assume people have financially matured by now and wanted to hear their approaches on money management. Like most people work and if you're not taking advantage of maxing out your 401ks, what's stopping you?

My Venus is in my second house too.

I spend my money on traveling. I would rather travel then eat lavishly. So I don’t go out to a lot of expensive restaurants.

Spending $ 100 to eat at a fancy restaurant 3 times in a month is a plane ticket somewhere.
I have retirement accounts with each job and my own Roth IRA that I contribute to.

As far as savings- a small percentage every week goes into my savings account but it’s nothing major. I have credit cards if I get into a serious bind.

I work hard and play hard so most of my money gets spent.

Yes! I would rather travel than spend lavishly on food too. I've found a country's local food is usually a better option than their fine dining so I will never understand how people can bring themselves to overpay for usually underseasoned fancily plated food. But I also have a heavy 9th house.

Do you relate to what it usually says about the 2nd house venus placement? It's supposed to make you financially lucky or comfortable.

I use the ashtray in my car to manage my wealth

Hey you never know. I read this story about a guy who used to bartend and would always lazily stash his tips in his room. 3-4 years later when he couldn't stuff anymore in his room he went through how much he saved and it was near $ 100k. He was freaking out because he didn't expect it to accumulate to such an amount and didn't know what to do with it cause he hadn't been paying taxes on it.

All i KNOW I'm not comfortable with anything I've done, it's just not enough

I have too make more money

Why do you feel it's not enough? Do you like spending on certain things?

I’m ok at money management (surprisingly because I’m a Pisces). I AM very bad at shopping around for discounts though. I like, I buy. My credit is pretty well and my debts are low.

I’m still pretty green when it comes to retirement plans though. That stuff gives me headaches, but I contribute 9% of my income to 401k by auto drafting. It gets matched at 6% .

My company offers discounts on stock trading, but personally, the shares are a bit too much and I’m still debating if I should...

Roughly $ 250 USD per share

It doesn't sound like you max out your 401k, why not? You get a 6% match which would mean more free money! Taking compound interest seriously from when you are still young is the best thing a person could ever do for themselves.

So the two of you wouldn't spend money on a nice fine man? You know like buy him Valentine's gifts and surprise him with nice Valentine's dinner?

I not only focus my money on food for just myself but also on other women I takes out to dine.

And I have a pack 9th house too and my thing is still food. I could really care less about traveling.

Treating SO occasionally is different but I'd rather we go on nice trips and vacations than waste on fancy food that rarely lives up to their expectations. My palate is most pleased by home cooked meals.

You could care less about traveling? You are a 9th house fraud..

I think you read that wrong, in fact he does more than match it by 3%

He's doing the normal at 15%

Yeah I did read it wrong. I would try to still contribute more if the salary allowed. Imagine that max of 19k grow 10 years from now. I think more young people should take advantage of it. The money will end up working for them in the long term and the only sacrifice now is living frugal. But it's not cool to be frugal they say, it's all about instant gratification. We'll just see who's faring well when they're all middle-aged. But then I'm also for enjoying life when you can while you're young because one's health won't nearly be at their peak by retirement. So conflicting 😫
Wealth?? whoever thinks people are millionaires here Big Grin LOL

Some have more than other, who cares, as long you live the way you want and like, it doesn't bother me at all. I don't have much tbh, but enough to do what I like, buy what I want and etc. The key is spending your money wisely. I never go to boutiques, I prefer discount stores and absolutely love it, especially when they offer sales, again, wise spending. Winking oh and I tend to visit 2nd hand stores as well. You wouldn't believe what a beautiful heavy pea coat I got , tags still on it Big Grin Just for $ 15 and 6/9 old style rug for my living room $ 30. I have to take it to car wash sometime soon.
