I don't think I've reached that moment yet.

Every time I think I've got things figured out, life reminds me that nothing is guaranteed.

Truthfully, I don't think you can ever really reach that moment.

Once you think you've got everything figured out, that's when you stop growing.
This is very true!

But did you have a moment where you knew you changed and became a bit wiser? That something altered the way you viewed everything?

When I became pregnant with my oldest/first born. All of a sudden I had to think of him and it wasn't just about me anymore. It was all about him. And when he was born, my whole perspective on life changed.
This is beautiful

@wagtail

That really shows a lot about your character. You're a strong lady! And now knowing that story just really puts things in perspective of how you are as a person. I don't think I could have done what you did at 14. I wouldn't even know how to.

A lot of people say this.

I have a friend who says becoming a mother saved her life. She was going down a really bad path, and then she fell pregnant. She cut out everything bad from her life, and started anew. She went to school while her son was a baby... and now is an accountant. She built herself up from a very low place.

How about you tho, is this something you are experiencing at the moment?

Or are you reflecting on something that's had an impact on youeh...

Yeah I'm experiencing it right now.. it happened a little late. But I'm excited that I've had my eureka moment. I was going down a pretty unmotivated and dark path.. and now I'm realising to be good at life, you have to have a fire in your heart to get things done. You can't just let yourself slide or you wont experience all the things you might want to, or have the things you might want later on. I'm just learning that I need to be excited to get things done. I'm finally learning the value of money. I'm learning how to respect others and just society in general. It took me coming to Australia land to figure it out. I knew I had to leave Canada, I knew I needed a change.. but wasn't sure what the change would do for me. And now I know. smile

That's amazing for her. It's nice to hear happy endings, or I should say when people have positive happy new beginnings smile

I'm still figuring everything out. I still have a long way to go. But when did my eyes "open" to the world? Probably during the worst time in my life. I was having a serious breakdown and every aspect of my life came crashing down on me so hard. I'm still feeling the effects. But that's when I realized that we are all here for a reason and that everything happens for a reason. In some weird way, that's also when I discovered my power. I don't know... Before that I just thought life "went on" and never really thought about it. Also didn't think about how my actions would effect my life or my future or how I made people feel with my actions. Kind of just lived, uncensored with no limits. I feel like I have purpose now and I just look at life in a whole new way.

I think this is the most relatable to how I feel. You just did things to do them. But every action has a reaction, whether it to be the universe or people (probably one in the same lol).. that's what I've learned.

Fairly young...sometimes life hands you a fucked up situation or two or three, but it's all in how you deal and make it out to the other side.
