Its not so much the slaughtering methods that bother me, I just don't understand why they feel the need to kick and abuse the animals while they're still alive. Its not necessary in killing or preparing them for death. A majority of the workers just seem like sadistic fucks who enjoy torturing animals.

I probably won't adopt a plant based diet, though. :/

I'm a city gal but have had the great fortune to be surrounded by people with knowledge of farming and country living. Not all farmers mistreat their livestock. I wish that video had been more geared toward shutting down those who mistreat and abuse animals instead of using it to put a negative light on all farming. I'm guessing it's a vegetarian propaganda video.

I wish I knew a local farmer I could get my meat and raw milk from.

When I get mine set up, it will be about 5 hours south of you, but you'll always be welcome to come pick some stuff Lunar. 🙂 I'm looking at two different 5 acre places right now.. one currently for sale, one will be up for sale in about 6 months. Not nearly as much acreage as I'd like, but it would be a good start. Realistically since I travel for work during the week, 5 acres is all I could manage to work and maintain on weekends anyway.

Thanks for being one of the people who knows what she's talking about. Free eggs, apples, peaches, and tomatoes for life.. you just have to pick them up. lol

5 acres sounds heavenly to me. I was looking for 2-8 acres but not this time around.
I had several I was looking at but they went fast and I need to move ASAP so;
I am moving into a townhouse 1 1/2 hours south of the city so that makes me a bit closer to you. 🙂

Hmmm perhaps I can find a local land owner and rent some of his/her land. I don't need anything too large. Just large enough to grow my fruits and vegetables until I find my own place to expand.

I will someday have a chicken coup and I know what breed to get the Auraucana chicken.
So that I can get the eggs I want. Americana eggs, I bet they go over very well over the holidays.

First off, you're obviously an urban moron who thinks he knows a lot more than he really does. My opinion is unchanged from the very first time I saw you post, just repeatedly confirmed.

Secondly - Your average small farmer actually treats his animals very well, and has many incentives to do so. Where you see animals mistreated are in these mass production/confinement places... and that's Big Ag, which is Big Business.. not a small family farmer. But you're not smart enough to grasp that on your own, so that's okay. Now you know.

Any animal I ever have actually lives a pretty happy, pampered existence where it's allowed plenty of room to engage in it's natural behaviors, and fed what it's supposed to have - NOT tons of chemicals in a confinement.

If you are actually concerned about this and want to learn enough to know what you are talking about, rather than just being a retard hood, check out a book called "Everything I want to do is Illegal" by Joel Salatin. Read up a bit on Monsanto as well, and GMO crops while you are at it.
