How people perceive you

I thought it would be interesting to see how you all replied to this thread, when people meet me for the first time they think I am quiet, a good girl, reserved, and shy. I can be all these things but that is not really me for those who really know me they know I can be loud, always making jokes, very flirty I hate when people really start getting to know me and they will be like did she really say or do that I never thought you would be like that. Men who I may start a relationship with will be like damn I didn't know you were like this sexually or like that people always peg me out to be this good girl or simple women which I am really not but hey I like to keep people guessing so it works for me.
Oh and for everyone who post on this thread what is your sun sign and I guess rising

I like people to be blunt, though i have never gotten any indepth thoughts from people on how they perceive me. I have been told random things from random people. I was told i come off as a badboy/player with thick skin but also the complete opposite (quiet calm and cooley) --I feel like im a combination of both.. Alot of people say i'm mad chill ...which is def true. My boss has told me i have a great demeanor - some people have said i can come off real stern. It seems like a wide variation though i've never had anyone close to me be like ...you are doing this and that ... or you are this type of person. I have been told i am a very caring person but also very harsh at times...lol One thing i know im about is principle and i respect the people that respect me... scorpio much?

That why I never like to really judge a person character until I get to know them. I know in astrology they say your rising is how people see you and for the most part I think my sagg rising describes me always happy and I think I have a very outgoing personality and VB I see you have the same rising do you think this describes you? Bitch would seem harsh to describe you?

I am anything but a bitch; on the whole I'm gregarious, outgoing and very warm. But when I meet an unknown variable I can see why I'd come off like that. It's a protective mechanism. That little jaw will be up, feelers extended and if I kindle to someone it melts. If I do not, that's what they continue to get, Mizz Queen.

People think I look mad or deep in thought. I get asked "are you ok?" a lot. Lol....
I have also been told I seem a lot more reserved and guarded than what I actually am...maybe even a little stuck up like I think I'm too good...or very shy and quiet. People are reluctant to initiate conversation with me at first because apparently I seem like I don't want to be bothered.
Just as the OP said, people are always surprised once they get to know me. They "can't believe" I just said that/did that. *rolls eyes*
Also, I get told "you are such a happy person, you totally don't look like it at first"

I get some rather mixed initial responses. A surprising number of people take one look at me, and absolutely hate me. This is actually true. I have no idea why, but it happens.
The other side is that a surprising number of people take one look at me and they are telling me their most inner secrets, fears, and other very personal information. Once again, actually true, and I have no idea why.
I have read where Picses are supposed to be good "confidants" because they can keep a secret. I certainly can and do keep secrets, if so inclined. everyone who is tight with me now says they were intimidated by my vibe + appearance and suspected I may not speak to them if approached...I despise being watched and can "feel" it when it's happening and I get perturbed. If they could only realize that a quick approach, smile and hello would be more appropriate things would be easier. I don't trust anyone initially and question reasons behind contact from strangers. I often want to be alone (it rarely happens tho') I suspect that's what they pick up on...I treasure my friends + love ones.



I think the double scorp can be intimidated.......

I'm misunderstood ALL the time.
If I had a penny for everytime someone said "Wow! You're actually really nice and friendly. I thought you were a hard-nosed bitch when I met you" I'd be rich. SERIOUSLY!
People find me intimidating, I used to get this heaps at my last job and I have no doubt that peeps in my current job feel the same.
I dunno what it is, I'm just shy and reserved at first... I keep to myself but then once you get to know me, once I relax around you , Libra comes out to play.
I was at my christmas do last year and I started chatting to this Leo chick. I was very relaxed and was just being silly self and she looked at me all stunned and then she told me she found me scary? and that she was shocked at how different I was acting... I was like wtf?? Im not scary!!! She didnt work in my office we had a phone relationship... and we rarely conversed so I think that's maybe what it was.. We also have a mutual friend (sag) and she is like "yeah I said to sag you were intimidating and scary and she said you were an awesome chick but I dunno you scare me maybe its cuz you're in collections" so I laughed it off and by the end of the nite... this bitch was my BFF.
It's annoying!!
Moral of the story Aries = Scary. Libra = Sweet

I get mixed reviews. I am perceived as open and friendly but not really approachable. People seem to think I am WAY cooler than I actually am. Or they think I am too weird to mess with. Or I just turn them off completely. I can be a strong personality. Luckily, I am used to receiving the first reaction I mentioned.
I attract a lot of types who wanna be best friends almost immediately or avoid me like the plague but can't stop staring. I attract a lot of male attention but can never get a date unless I initiate (though I tend to only end up with the guys who have the balls to let me know).

oh let's see, people perceive me as a creative thinker, good ideas, a quiet person, a good problem solver, logical, concise, opinionated, direct, nice, friendly, funny sometimes, busy sometimes, grumpy sometimes, sleepy sometimes, helpful, can make cool stuff, good at designing things, caring, goofy, good at managing things, notices big ideas first, then details (not particularly detail oriented), generally well-liked, although I can be annoying i"m sure occasionally, although I think that's probably just my own fear. i usually don't care what people think of me, and i haven't had a problem with it so far. I have been known to use colorful language at times, and I try to be fair, although I can be a bit of a risk taker at times, I try to take only calculated risks (sometimes my calculator is off though).

People have no of how they are percieved, because they use their own self-image as a measuring device ..... for this reason, people cannot even accurately read another person .. for any reaction a person may have towards you, you then look at how you view yourself to make a conclusion of what they might be interpreting.

Looks like people go from birth to right now .... and never really learn any psychology inbetween because if you did, then you'd KNOW that you cannot know how other people think/view/percieve .... the only thing you can do is guess how you believe they might think based off of how you think about yourself.

You all don't appear to know that ... I seem to be the only person alive who actually lives in the reality of what I know

I guess it depends what mood I'm in when people meet me? Or maybe if they talk to me for even 5 minutes? I think the bitch thing is when they HAVENT spoken to me, and the innocent and sweet is when they at least talk to me for a couple minutes. 'Course once they DO get to know me I get: you're deep, strong, caring, and a bit naughty. Or something of that effect. So the first impression is really not the truth.

Well, a lot of us have been told by people (myself included) how we first came across to them, and that's what we're commenting on.
And of course we are also making our best guesses based on people's reactions too. But true, noone really knows how they look through other people's eyes... It's kinda common sense, really. No need to get so literal.




People are unable to determine the definition of how another person feels ... is that not obvious by the sheer amount of posts in here that are referencing scenarios such as: he looked at me, what does it mean? ... or, he said I'm hot, does this mean he loves me?
A person can tell you what they think .. but, that isn't an indication as to how you are percieved by them for you can only measure how they view you according to your own self image you have of yourself.
Being literal is being real ... if you aren't literally living according to your own recognition of the meaning of life, then you are reacting to assumptions .. such as we see here. Someone tells you something and you assume to know what they mean, according to how you percieve how they are percieving you, and calling it real .. when it's actually a false assessment.
Another side is that people rarely tell another the truth, and usually slant their responses to people to identify with the ego, so not to hit any sore spots ... how can you then assume that your assumptions are accurate?

When people 1st meet me, they think I'm quiet, reserved, somewhat stuck up, one to mean mug & that of someone who is always in deep thought.
They say I have an intimidating presence. The "Don't F with me" look. Not so much that I have a chip on my shoulder but moreso that the way I carry myself suggests that I'm not intimidated by anyone & am proud of who I am
Once they get to know me, all of that changes of course. They think I'm the cutest, most intellectual, innocent & funny person.
Honestly, I enjoy people getting to know me later & realizing that their 1st impressions were wrong b/c I've never been 1 to believe that 1st impressions are accurate anyways. There's no way you can sum up someone's character/life in minutes, hours or even days
