I hate parents..

I work with kids..
This little girl was was being sassy and ran her mouth and got bitch slapped by another little girl, it was pretty crazy. I was eating and my jaw literally dropped along with all my food.
Even after the formalities the little girl that got hit was so mad after, like she was throwing a tantrum and being all smug towards us and I got pretty annoyed so I told her in life you can't behave like and expect for someone not to react... what are these parents teaching their kids?
also... mother of the year was like. HOW CAN U TELL MY LITTLE GIRL SHE DESERVED TO BE HIT... blah blah blah blah
I like my job enough not to tell her the truth so I was like.. Ma'am i was explaining to her that this could of been avoided.....
She was like is that little girl being kicked out, i want to talk to her mother.....blah blah blah
I was like take it up with the director lol...
she'll probably get suspended for a bit but it's all about the $ $ $ $ .
Srs if i was running my mouth and lost a fight my mom would tell me that i'm a loser.
You know what I don't want to run my own studio. Fuck that lawsuit waiting to happen...

I don't try the parents too much cause idk what kinda power they have, I like my job.
I know the director hates when kids misbehave or disrespectful,
I heard her telling them to shape up or get out.

Is yeah it is my business..when you send your kids to work with other people what do you expect?

It's a parents job to assimilate children into civil society... even if that means you have to pay attention or play the bad guy

Kids don't know how to use words to properly express themselves so they use primal instincts fight or flight.
That girl did not run away crying...
of course will learn that using violence will get her into trouble, but her parent didn't fuss over her child being bullied by another child, they know this happens & how to deal with it internally instead blaming the world...
Besides violence bullying other people is not acceptable in society and sometimes people will react maybe not beat you up but will plot against you depending on their sign. haha.

If a coworker was being unnecessarily hostile towards me I would complain and if my work ignored it I would find my own means to deal with them.
& I've never been in a physical altercation before.

I've had a teacher sit down after class and tell I'm too lazy and don't apply myself which is a disservice to myself in the long run, but I didn't go home crying because my mother would say...

I even remember I brought a victoria secret catalog to school and showed it to everyone and my teacher explained to me why it's inappropriate to bring to class because my mother never did.
If I went home and told her what my teacher said she would flip out on me for embarrassing her.

Kids are serious assholes anymore. I've heard so many horror stories from teachers and they can't even keep the kids under control in class because mom and dad are too busy trying to be 21 for the rest of their life and don't actually parent. They're too busy trying to act like they're still childless and unmarried and just plug their kids into the iphone/ipad (which SERIOUSLY fucks up their development) while they continue pretending to be childless.
When shit gets real, it's suddenly "MY BABAY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG. HE/SHE IS SO PERFECT. HOW DARE YOU!"
Meanwhile, crotch dropping is being a hell raising asshole with zero manners, respect, or any common decency. When another adult actually says something, THEY'RE the bad guy because mom and dad are embarrassed that someone stepped up where they failed.
When I see parents actually parenting their kids, I freaking love it. For every good parent I see, there's probably 5-6 inattentive, irresponsible parents out there, I swear. It's so sad and depressing. :/ It's like omg, my parents would have beaten me senseless had I done what half these little shits do anymore.

The child who got suspended, did you pull her to the side and explain why it is not ok to use violence to settle disputes? The message could have been conveyed more appropiately to the child that got hit, with out insinuating that she deserves it. I'm surprised you weren't suspended from work.

Was there really a need? She's already in trouble with everyone- mom, the school, the instructors, etc. It's kinda obvious that she's aware that what she did is getting her in trouble and wrong.
But the brat who's starting shit? Someone has to tell her she wasn't in the right either. I don't know how it was specifically worded to the brat, but I didn't pick up "you deserved it." The whole thing is "yeah she's in trouble for hitting you, but you shouldn't behave like that toward others and not expect potential consequences for it."
You need to realize the crowd she's dealing with. Dance moms are some of the worst. Some are too busy vicariously living through their girls and encouraging eating disorders to make sure that their kid isn't growing up to be some snotty brat.
I agree that what the OP said was indeed very risky, but she's not wrong, either.

Once they get to kid no. 3... they're MUCH more laid back.
They've seen it all.
