Posted by DistilledSo I left my phone upstairs charging, when I checked some time later I had 3 missed call from my county department, I call back and a girl answers telling me this is 911, I tell her got 3 missed call from the number ### he tells me to wait and then she transfers me to the officer who called me named G. And then the officer says thanks for calling back. What if I don't go? Will I be in trouble?
This doesn't make sense. At all.
A hearing means statements have been taken. It's a date to basically proceed. Meaning everyone involved is already in the system. Statements have been taken and the next order is to resolve... Eventually, depending on what the hearing is for.
Unless is like some ultra undercover stuff like the wire. Cop wouldn't call though cuz it can be traced.
Unless he wants a date.

Posted by Piscis_HominisI have a lawyer, but can't wait till Monday
Do u know a lawyer?...just tell that person you're going...if you feel uncomfortable at any time in terms of not being able to proceed...let's say u or someone u care about is at risk..tell the officer politely that you want to speak to your lawyer...you can even say "a lawyer"...if u don't know a lawyer... ...then tell 'em u cant afford one.
...It's likely nothing...otherwise u would have heard about it already..
...but no one can compel you to answer questions if you feel it might incriminate yourself... ...if you feel your safety would be at risk...lawyer up too.
...otherwise...u need to cooperate...simple as that...
...as long as u plan for the worst you can deal with the worst...good luck.

Posted by pisceanlovesWhen you call 911 they answer by saying "911, what's your emergency". ARE YOU IN JAIL OP
HIT THE WALL TWICE WITH YOUR CUP FOR YES
Posted by Deedee86I haven't done anything but some people are mad at me. Maybe they filed something who knows. Besides its cops job to make innocent guilty, they are trained to destroy your life
OP, I'm going to assume that you live in a small town that has an after hours dispatch center instead of an operator at the police station.
My town has no police department but the adjacent one only has two officers so when you call their number, you get transferred to a dispatch center. It is the same operators as the county 911 system. The woman may have confused the line and answered wrong. That's not a big deal and no need to panic.
Why don't you want to speak to the police? Did you do something illegal? Do you have information regarding a crime? Personally, I would go and see what it's all about but know your rights and stay on guard. Stop talking and get out of there if the tone becomes accusatory.
Posted by EddieVanJoviI spoke to my lawyer today, an officer was out of town and he left voice mail, he will let me know soonest he has a news.Posted by pisceanlovesYou're not guilty of anything. The worst you'll get is a warning. The officer is probably going out of their way before issuing the warning so he/she can get a better understanding of what is going on.Posted by Deedee86I haven't done anything but some people are mad at me. In other words, information was brought to them that is suspicious or problematic but not criminal. I'd advise you to meet and talk. Don't ignore it because the cop is actually doing you a favor.click to expand
