India...JUST A DEVELOPING NATION..
Looney - great post! Looks to me like India is a very EVOLVED city and that it may be our perception that it is just a developing nation....the proof is there. Me thinks we can learn quite a bit from them and NEED to!
We are not as developed as we "THINK" we are.....we are just beginning.
Circumstances do not make a nation - they reveal a nation.
Thanks Looney - how are you these days?
In the Federal United States, you can't hardly breathe the air without a bunch of red tape being processed.
When all is said and done, the mayor of New Orleans and the governor of Louisiana are going to have a lot to answer for. The welfare state of Louisiana is fixing to get a kick in the butt. The money to repair the levies was sent several years ago. Where it went? Waiting for an answer.
The relief efforts? The Red Cross was on the way down immediately afterwards. Turned down at the gate. Why? The governor didn't want to cause a panic. The federal government has 72 hours to respond to a stateside disaster, but only if called to do so.
Hi
Thanx for your comments.
Freebird I am flying in cloud nine and vey much in love. Want to make it work!!!!!
I pray that the governments around the world stop taking people for granted. They have to understand that their policies will ultimately boomerang on them one day.
May god betstow peace on people and give them strength not just to rise like phoenix but also to take the cannibalistic politicians to task.
Amen to beans! Little Southern hick lingo there.

is this supposed to be democracy...or what?
Hi all,
I agree whole heartedly, it is such a shame that events have taken the turn that they have regarding the response from the powers that be.
Here is another tid bit to add to the pot, only two thirds (I believe) or less of the funds collected for the disaster relief in New Orleans was given to the state to use. The Red Cross needs to appropriate the remaining funds for future events to quote George Bush! This tactic has taken place during every disaster that has been responded to and there has yet to be any information as to just where the extra funds have gone. So just where have the disaster relief funds gone that were being held future use? I think we deserve an answer to that million dollar (no pun intended) question, does anyone agree?
I still stand in dismay that here in our home land such things are taking place all around us. It is very sad indeed when such things are allowed to take place while our people suffer!

TW2
Yes very much agree twinflame.I know it's insane amounts of cash that has been taken in by each one yet, they're always broke and lacking funds when something happens. Not to mention that alot of people just donate items like clothing,water,food,etc.,etc. as well for the rescuers and the victems of the events which covers alot of the things they also need to get.
