I switched into a different facet in my career when I went from managing commercial property to becoming a real estate agent. I did this to have more time with my family as my oldest is now in middle school. One difficulty I came up against is how challenging rejection can feel. I mean you can make a lot of money but you have to be so absolutely numb to constantly putting yourself in the position to be rejected.

I've started some comfort zone challenges and fueled up on Ted talks. I find I'm less anxious when introducing myself. I more confident in expressing my skills. I'm making more money but more importantly my daughter are seeing me handle a lot of situations different than I used to.

What tools have you used to improve yourself?

First off your confidence has to be in a place where it is not tainted. People love to judge you by surface ideas, perceptions and ignorance. It takes confident in yourself to be able to deal with rejection day in and day out as much as people like to put on the facade that negative words and experience doesn't get to them but these experiences are still seed trying to be planted. As for me I like to invite GOD into my equation because I know if he is in the situation or at least if I am planted in his word and environment the negative energy that the devil used through other people won't piece my positive reality and armor. Hope this helps a little.
