Posted by xghyIt makes more sense to have direct relationship with Allah.. as apposed to relationship with a prophet..Posted by ianthezuvisInteresting.

Why do you want to revert to Islam

Posted by sultrykittyWrong.
Jesus (pbuh). You don't "revert". You weren't born Muslim and then led astray. People aren't born with religion, they're taught it.

Posted by ianthezuvisOK then, explain exactly how a newborn is Muslim. Do they face east to pray? Do they fast for Ramadan? Do they say the shahada?Posted by sultrykittyWrong.

Posted by ianthezuvisLogic is your friend. Apply it.
I'm no expert on Islam...
This is just dialect...

Posted by AAThese aren't trick questions. They're simple questions that require the one being asked to apply simple logic.
Islam is very simple, and it is more forgiving and flexible than people think. Resorting to trick questions catch somebody out is pointless, anyone can pay that game.

Posted by ianthezuvisNot quite in the sense that you think. Sure, I'd much rather follow Jesus than Muhammad, but I don't really believe in a whole lot of what traditional Christians believe.
Must be a christian.

Have you googled?
How does one fast during Ramadan when they NEED to eat due to illness? Answer, you can eat, if you have intention and good will on the mind.
How does one pray when it is physically impossible? You can in mind with intention and good will.

Posted by Senorita_LLErgo, not born Muslim. :-)Posted by sultrykittyThe father or a family elder will first whisper the call to prayer (adhan) in the baby's ear, shortly after it's birth.Posted by ianthezuvisOK then, explain exactly how a newborn is Muslim. Posted by ianthezuvisJust like Christians have to accept that God spoke through Jesus
Yes you have to accept that Muhammad was the last prophet.. that good spoke through him.

My thoughts are that religions aren't that different at their core
It all points back to the same god - just different interpretations and approaches due to culture and language
If you relate to Islam, great ??

Posted by MontgomeryI don't understandPosted by ianthezuvisIs that like backsliding?

That's a logical and intelligent theory, thought a lot about that one myself 🙂click to expand

Posted by sultrykittyDon't bother. Religion & logic have never gotten along. He's lost the plot, just step away slowly and let him live out the rest of his life in blissful ignorance.Posted by ianthezuvisOK then, explain exactly how a newborn is Muslim.
