I like to be at home when its raining, so I can sleep, cook new recipes and watch movies. I love to read fiction. One of my vices happens to be celebrity magazines, and Entertainment Tonight! If I feel I need to loose a few pounds, I'll buy the latest weight loss pill and starve myself because I hate exercise. I love scented candles and taking baths and showering in the dark. I dont like people who think they are smarter than everyone else. I dont like to talk about money or politics. I dont like people who are weak for an extended period of time. Right now I'm interested in the lives of courtesans. I've always wondered if nuns and priests mastrubate. I really dont like Mondays.....unless I'm off. The longest I've ever slept was 22 hours, only getting up to potty. Sometimes I wish I could be a slut and sleep with every guy I'm attracted to. I'm not afraid of the bird flu. I'm horrible at choosing a good wine. I love to think. When I was in high school I was facinated with Marie Antoinette. I have no desire to travel to foreign countries. I only buy american made cars even if they are crap because I believe in supporting the american worker. I'm 27 and can still do a cartwheel. I actually enjoy watch golf.

You're not interested in discussing global or political issues? And you have no desire to travel to foreign countries? I have a friend like that. On most days, we have nothing to talk about. :-)
Being able to talk about those aforementioned issues, as well as those pertaining to economics (both global and micro) has been the lynchpin of my relationship with my Cap as well as with my other friends. Those kind of issues are important as they are significantly larger than 'us' and either directly or indirectly impact us. AND, you can talk about them every single day as things change on a daily basis.

Okay... is this Febby starting a thread of interest to her? I'll join~ I may bounce off a few of your traits...
I dislike politics; I pretend to be and seem a Republican but I'm really more an Independent or a socialist. I love the French though and anything French so think that's why I prefer socialism. I love travel and other cultures, especially Chinese and Japanese films and fictional books involving far east history and culture. I'm a lawyer but it bores the heck out of me and I am not passionate about my career. I'd rather be an event coordinator/ wedding planner, or a pastry chef. I can and have spent 8 hours straight making one dessert. I sleep in on the weekends, and I don't mean until 9 o'clock- that is not sleeping in! From age 20-26, I basically was a slut. Then I was with an Aquarius from age 26-32, and the sex was so lame for the last half, that following our divorce, I had another brief slut phase to get back what I'd missed! LOL I love my dog more than any other THING. I want 2 kids but sometimes wonder if I can give up $ 5k vacations and designer shoes.... I'm overly generous with family and friends, and my 12 yrs. younger sister has surprisingly become my bestfriend in the last year! I like all ethnic foods, the ocean, the beach, Fall, artistic/dynamic/unconventional people. I dislike traditional sports, for the most part. I used to take ballet for 10 years when young, and like the ballet/opera/theatre.
And ... this is long enough, and oh, are we writing dating profiles?? LOL

Branh! Wrong reference. I'm a fire sign. :-) We tend to be self-centered in our discussions although most Leos I know are on the up and up about other issues.

There's nothing worse than when you have friends who just want to discuss their feelings, their relationships, etc. Actually, my friends that are Cancers and Pisces have essentially sucked the life force out of me with their topics of discussion...which is always about them and their relationships. I know every little detail about their lives but they have no idea what's going on with me. You are right in that just talking about that stuff makes it more difficult to open up.

Where are you from again, SB? Which foreign films are your favorite? I have to say my all-time favorite is "Farewell My Concubine" (chinese opera). I think it could be my Sag. moon triggering alot of these interests and perhaps some house placements.

I can talk money but I can't talk politics... I think this country has too many ridiculously wealthy individuals who have so much money, what will they ever do with it? They just like being their own empire, their own bank, and operating autonomously. So, perhaps I'm against capitalism to that extent. I come from uppermiddle-upper class and am not speaking from the opposite side of the fence either.

SB~ Just French from 7 yrs. of it in high school and major in college. I took Spanish at the same time for a year in high school but didn't like it as well. How about for travel or where have you lived? I haven't visited the far east and am limited to Western Europe (France,Italy,Spain,Germany,Switzerland,England), and Caribbean (St. Barts,St. Lucia,Costa Rica,Grand Cayman,St.Thomas). I'd like to see French Polynesia (BoraBora, Moorea), Bali, and perhaps New Zealand.
Oh, no, I am 50% Polish (Dad's side), 25% Italian (Sicilian), and 25% Irish and a guess a smidgen French within that 25% .
Here we go... I wasn't bragging about my ancestry- It was a question asked of me. Some people are proud of their heritage, and why shouldn't they be? If grandparents were born in and originated from that country, and their ancestors as well, I think it can be accurately determined. I am holding my tongue on addressing you any further with a few comments which might be more apropos to precisely convey what a fool you sound like. Same old, same old, you can't have a discussion on any topic without incorporating a direct personal insult which you think will help shove your views down that person's throat into acceptance? God, I feel sorry for the people who have to deal with you in REAL LIFE.

Interesting viewpoint, Bra... sounds very "American". I enjoy tradition and history and am more a purist perhaps? I'm not going to pretend to know or talk politics though.

I mean, there's nothing wrong with associating with your nationality/ancestry, and his would rather be the extreme minority view, to which he is entitled but which should not be superimposed upon others through intimidation or strong-arm tactics (derogatory remarks, insults).

Same here, I don't always get a chance to express myslef verbally, but online you can be more abstract ... well to those who understand your mindset. I am a deep person who likes to get to the bottom of things ... hhahaha that's why I ask so many questions ... All the men I know would never do anything like that. As a matter of fact, most of the men I know dont give two sh!ts about astrology! Capgirl, you seem like a very well rounded lady, and yes I've seen the movies and read memoirs. Excellent. There is another Asian movie you may like called Raise the Red Lantern or something along those lines. Also, there is a foreign film (French) that I loved called Fat Girl. I'm sure you're intelligent enough to keep up with subtitles (wink). Just to touch on the last few entries.....

Heritage is important because you can learn about your past, but ultimately I dont think it matters. Someone should have slapped Tiger Woods with the Uncle Tom stick when he proclaimed to be a CAUBLINASIAN!
