Stupid things you thought when you were a kid....
It took me forever to understand black and white tv/films. I thought that before a certain time everything was seen in black and white. My parents obviously didn't explain it to me very well, either.

I got this from a Jenna marbles video, it made me laugh a lot and the comments too, so I decided to ask you guys for more laughs, and tell you some of mine.
When I was younger my mother told me not to be afraid of "burgalers" because they were scared of people, and if they ever saw us they would run away... leading me to believe that they weren't human but some kind of animal/alien/monster that were scared of humans.
The older kids at school found a condom in the playground, I was too small to see over them to see it. I could just hear them like "OMG it's a condom" " don't touch it, don't touch it, it's dangerous" " ew it's disgusting"... so I then thought for many years that a condom was some sort of insect, like a beetle or something. I used to ask family members if they'd ever seen a condom... most of them we're horrified.
I used to think that all factories were "cloud factories" and the fumes were actually just clouds.
I once found lube in my mothers bedroom, I askedher what it was and she, very inventively, told me tthat it was used on your elbows and knees for going down a slide... I brought my friends round to the house to ask my mum if we could use her special sliding gel... I also did a demonstration for a family friend on how to use my mothers special sliding gel.click to expand

And my family had to move to a different country. I would have been like four or five and totally against the idea of leaving my friends,love birds and trees behind. My favourite brother convinced me the sky would look a very pretty fuschia pink in the new country. So I agreed.

One of the biggest let down was from watching Tom & Jerry. You know when they chase each other around the table, and there's a big feast on display...
It looked so good, I felt like everything had to be as delicious as it looked on the cartoon. Especially the gruyere. So I asked my mom to buy some...it was DISGUSTING!
