Lol there was a lobby for the DXP Awards in 2015, I think it was, I rendered it myself. It was a budget hotel with chandeliers and a stage.
a Super 8 ? LOL
Lol I was trying to find it on my hard drive earlier, but no dice

I was just joking lol - Super 8's are low budget around here - not sure what the chandelier and the stage have in common in a low-budget hotel lobby but hey

Citizens Campaign for the Environment (CCE) was formed in 1985 by a small group of concerned citizens who recognized the need to provide public involvement to advance stronger environmental policy. Today, CCE has grown to an 80,000-member organization with offices in Farmingdale, NY, White Plains, NY, Albany, NY, Syracuse, NY, Buffalo, NY, and Hamden, CT. CCE continues to work to empower the public by providing members with opportunities to participate in the political process and thereby advance a strong environmental agenda.

CCE engages in extensive education, research, lobbying and public outreach. One of our primary goals is to help citizens increase their influence and participation in important environmental campaigns. Through such activism, the public has a stronger voice in the development of public policies and legislative agendas.

CCE's experienced program staff works to identify key environmental concerns in communities across New York State and Connecticut. By working with other organizations in diverse coalitions and through ongoing communication with local, state and federal elected officials and environmental and public health agencies, CCE has been successful in advancing programs that benefit the natural environment and public health. Our achievements through public involvement have resulted in greater awareness and protection of drinking water quality, preservation of open spaces, protection of beaches, bays, rivers and Great Lakes waters, advancing renewable energy and a reduction in pollutants that impair our air and water resources.

my ex was good at booking our travel but one time he totally messed up and we ended up at this horrible place in Florida - we had to find another hotel in the middle of the night but ended up at a very special and unique place and kept going back there every year - we said "serendipity"

Where in Florida is that? I remember first time I went to Florida I stayed at a super 8 it was also my first time ever booking a hotel/motel too so I didn't know. Luckily I booked a back up hotel which was a hospital before it was converted into a hotel in pompano

I just went to Chicago booked at the Ramada in elk Grove cause the boutique hotel in Chicago was booked up. Big mistake. I felt like I'd catch something if I stayed another night. Turned the faucet on orange water came out, smelled like weed in one corner, shower head leaked water from the side, exhaust fan sounded like a broken motor boat, bed felt moist and the carpet felt nasty. Also no wifi in room only in lobby when it clearly said in room on Expedia. I told concierge I can't say here. They refunded me. I left with a spider bite.

they had a concierge ? we had a young girl behind the desk that didn't even ask any questions when we said we were leaving and wanted a refund - omg - I wouldn't sit down, I wouldn't take my shoes off, I just stood there right inside the room holding my bag and looking at my ex and saying I don't know about this place - I kept noticing how dirty everything was and the loud car doors and arguing outside our door told me it was very flimsy and not secure enough for me - I actually thought it was like some kind of crack hoe-tel or something - isn't that the most HORRIBLE feeling ...

yes, I lost some Venusian essence there lol - but I did have a chance to revive for the next week in the next adorable and very clean place

a spider bite - ewwww - how awful - sounds like you got the local special place as well

It's a Taurus thing. The first thing I look for in a hotel room is a clean bathroom and then clean everything else, and if it stinks sorry I'm halfway out the door already.

do you think it's just a Taurus thing though - I mean who wants to stay in filthy place - I remember I didn't even like the feel of pulling up to the lobby area when we pulled in - nor the actual lobby which of course didn't look anything like the ones on this thread lol - I can usually size them up in a minute but didn't really have to often, the ex was usually very good at finding unique places

but you are probably right - I am picky when I go anywhere as to cleanliness - I don't get angry, I just get up and go elsewhere

I feel it is, I remember driving up to the place on the phone with my friend and I'm like, omg this place looks so skeevy just by looking at the sign and it kept become truer as I achieved the levels to the room.

Stayed at a super 8 once, nearly lost my venusian essence
aw hell no

my ex was good at booking our travel but one time he totally messed up and we ended up at this horrible place in Florida - we had to find another hotel in the middle of the night but ended up at a very special and unique place and kept going back there every year - we said "serendipity"

Where in Florida is that? I remember first time I went to Florida I stayed at a super 8 it was also my first time ever booking a hotel/motel too so I didn't know. Luckily I booked a back up hotel which was a hospital before it was converted into a hotel in pompano

this was somewhere up near Palm Coast - surely not right in Palm Coast because that area is a really nice area - must have been on the skirts

Wait you stayed at the elk Grove as well?!

lol - no in Florida - and we checked in, and then checked out - I couldn't stay, it wasn't right at all - I am too afraid of sleeping on a dirty bed - that creeps me out - and it's not like I'm a punk or anything

I feel it is, I remember driving up to the place on the phone with my friend and I'm like, omg this place looks so skeevy just by looking at the sign and it kept become truer as I achieved the levels to the room.

yeah, you are right - I can tell what is up within seconds - like I'm always scanning without even knowing I'm doing that - and it's not that I'm like a real picky biotch - it just has to have that certain "air of care" to it and not the "ode de mode" lol
