This topic was created in the Miscellaneous forum by Deedee86 on Friday, August 11, 2017 and has 41 replies.
Last week I made a thread about this story but new details have come out and it gets even more heartbreaking.
This story is all over my local news. It happened about 30 minutes away. I will post a couple links but they don't even cover half of it. Every day, there is a new story.
June 30 an 11 year old girl is found dead.
The next day, the cause of death was announced as cardiac arrest and it was declared a murder
A few days later, an arrest was made. It was the father of her half brothers. It was announced that she died while he was raping her.
Cause of death was changed to asphyxiation by a pillow. She also had blunt trauma to her head and other body parts.
A second man was arrest and charged with rape and murder. He was the live in lover of the first man.
At the felony hearing it is revealed that the semen of the second man was found on the girl. There are seven people living in a tiny trailer including 4 children. Someone had to hear something! The girl was living there for the summer and had often stayed there for long periods of time. Child porn is found on the computer. The first man charged tries to place blame on one of his sons until DNA is revealed.
The biological mother speaks to the media. She hasn't seen the girl in 3 years and that was only for 5 minutes at a wal mart. She gave up custody 9 years ago because she is a heroin addict.
Her Facebook is open. She is married to a woman and has been for years but also has posted about loving her previous husband and spending 5 years in jail. She claimed that she knew the daughter was being abused for her entire life.
Maybe I would feel bad for her until she was arrested that night at the county fair on a warrant. Plus she wore a shirt that said "killing it" to the felony hearing. She has a total of 7 kids, 2 by the murderer. There was no mention of the other 4 but she has contact with none of them.
Foster mother was a friend of bio mom and living with the brother of the accused killer. She is supporting the accused until more details come out. Maybe she is in shock but she doesn't believe that he could do it.
Horrible crimes happen every day but this one is really weighing heavy on me. That poor little girl. Her last moments of life were fighting her rapist. It seems that every adult in her life failed her. The death penalty seems too kind. They need to be tortured slowly.

As far as lack of support or guidance goes, they are full-grown adults. They should have the mental capacity to recognize that this isn't the way to live. Support workers aren't psychic. They had to ask for help or at least be forced to get help by the skank ex wife, but she was too far gone as well.

Birth father doesn't seem to exist. A name is mentioned in the obituary but he hasn't been spoken of yet. I wonder if he's ever been in the picture or if he just left his daughter to be raised by animals

NY doesn't have death penalty anyways. I think Pataki tried bringing it back but the courts kept shooting it down.
I hope he gets prison justice.
Did anyone ever watch the documentary "my brothers keeper"?
When I moved out to the country I had to rent it because it was filmed about 20 minutes from me and 10 from this current murder. It's a completely different world that I ever knew existed.
The documentary was about three brothers that lived together. They are older, maybe 60's. One ends up being accused of murdering the other. During the trial, it came out that they were having sex with each other. I can't remember many details but they lived in filth and the entire film had hillbilly to English subtitles.
When I moved out to the country I had to rent it because it was filmed about 20 minutes from me and 10 from this current murder. It's a completely different world that I ever knew existed.
The documentary was about three brothers that lived together. They are older, maybe 60's. One ends up being accused of murdering the other. During the trial, it came out that they were having sex with each other. I can't remember many details but they lived in filth and the entire film had hillbilly to English subtitles.
We need to stop this from happening to any other man woman or child.

Obviously no one cared enough or dared to find out more about this girl and find out what was going on if she went to school...there would be signs.

I do think teaching people how to live and raise kids a few generations back and keeping it up with every generation might be useful.
The truth is ...some people make evil decisions. We cant lie to ourselves ....even if it seems unbelievable ..investigate it.
