@yupvirgo

Please do post a link to this song. I would love to hear it, the lyrics sound really sweet.

I like your thread, it's nice to hear some music from all over the world.

I come from former Yugoslavia, and this is my favourite band. They are called Ekatarina Velika (Ekatarina the Great), all the members died from misuse of narcotics, and all of them were geniuses for their time.

The song is called Stand alone on the streets.

The singer is Mladen Mladenovic. He's a Virgo, isn't it obvious?

So collected, so much pain and strenght inside (comes through his voice).

Thanks for giving me opportunity to show him here smile

Ekatarina Velika - Par godina za nas

(We have only) few years left to ourselves
Translated by me smile

A heartbreaking movie.

Why is English an exclusion? Sad

Why is English an exclusion? Sad

It was not.

There already are multiple music threads spread out across the boards here on dxp that hold English music.

WallFlower422, therefore English was not excluded.

Rather than that, this is an opportunity to give the music of all the other languages besides English a chance to be shared.

I'm wasting my time with thoughts

Do I need them?

The screen flashes inside me,

Telling about every one of us.

I'm looking confused before you,

The whole world is confused.

Sweet vices before me,

Sweeter than chocolate

Chorus:

Will you melt with me?

Will we hide in the night?

Every moment is sweet

Sweeter than chocolate.

Will you laugh with me?

The whole world is confused.

Every day of yours is sweet

Once more the whole world is sweet.

Awkward video picture

so the only songs that I know that are not in english are anime theme songs (don't judge me yo)

first of is the sailor moon theme song ...they have it in spanish, japanese, english, and german ...german is my favorite (very upbeat and happy)...

I love this topic I was hanging clothes out today and thought about making this topic because I wanted to extend my cultural musical knowledge.

From ghost in the shell soundtrack, my friend used to sell televisions and he played this to show off the sound system haha

Ive never been big on bollywood but if there was one movie or song from the genre that encompasses its excellence it should be this^^ the dancing staccato is on point and the music is epic and authentic.

Hmmm... I'd say the title would suit a bunch of other French composers, including Benjamin Biolay.

Regardless, the biggest problem with Voulzy is that he overproduces most of his albums - so much that the songs sound too glossy and MOR.

my favprite indian movie (only one I've seen?)

Just finished Narcos and I thought the ending song for Season 2, Episode 8 was great. I'm a sucker for love songs and the sweetness of the lyrics made me realize that I can't think of more than 3 love songs ("club bangers" don't count) made in this decade. Maybe that's a testament to the times we live in, since "catching feelings" & "simpin" are used so pejoratively.

Spanish (Colombia)

Just remembered this song I liked from Microsoft Encarta's article on Réunion. I know, random.

French (Réunion)

One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard about one of my favorite words in the world: Saudade/Sodade.

Portuguese (Cape Verde)

My dad is a fan of cheo feliciano and this type of music. He makes me transfer his old vynils to mp3 and buy new mp3s for him.

Every time you get in his car, he's playing that old latin music and it makes the trips atrocious.

Hahaha! My old boss & mentor put me onto this type of music a couple years ago when I used to work for a marketing agency that did a lot of Latino community events. If he wasn't playing 90s house music or hip-hop in the office, he was playing Cheo Feleciano, Hector Lavoe, TNT Band, etc.
