What's your ethnic mixture, and do you identify with one of them more than the others?

Or do you just kind of consider yourself your own demographic, even if nobody else shares it? I'm super super mixed (Israeli, Lithuanian, Nigerian, Japanese, Hawaiian, Dominican), so I pretty much fall into this category 🤷

I'm super mixed. Hawaiian Japanese Portuguese Creole Black White used to think Spaniard from what I was told of my bio dad but hes just white need to ask him him for more deets. I identify as Hawaiian because my hair is Hawaiian and I look more like my Hawaiian Japanese grandmother then my black mom.

I consider myself my own demographic.

I'm of mixed heritage (Dutch, German, Portuguese, Indonesian, Malay, Chinese). I'd say I identify more with the European side, but only because of my name. Otherwise I see myself as my own demographic.

Need to ask him but currently taking space since I just found him after twenty plus years. Waiting for our dna results to come through but the family resemblance is strong l. I have his nose always wondered about that. And him but that's a future topic since he baffles me

On a great day I think so but like everyone have low confidence days or bloating lol. If only I could smile more lol my hair is definitely my best feature its to my butt and though its no longer curly since its too heavy its super thick and always make me feel extra

I get very tired of the question so i just say im American now lol. I am like most of the other mutts out here. My birthfather was Czech and my birthmother Mexican-American so i often get the ethnicity question...

Israeli, Mexican, native american, and prolly some European in there.

Won't know for sure until I do that 23 and me. Someone has got to be lying is all I'm saying.

People think I'm irish. People think my sister is middle eastern or asian.

I do wonder how many have done the 23andme. I have been interested in doing it to see what my family line has in it. I think I am the last generation that will be "full" Vietnamese.

We are not all treated equally. And we are not all the same.

Not seeing our difference isn't good either. People's heritage etc means a lot to them or their difference.

Even if racism had never existed people would still wish you to see who they are.

We all originated from one ancestor, Australopithecus Afarensis, who originated in Africa. But after our later ancestor Homoerectus started to spread out of Africa we began to develop slight adaptations. We all evolved to be the same species (Homosapien) but our mitochondrial dna is different.

And again there's the culture, language, art, social structure of an ethnicity. Plus like you said the racial inequality issue.

So no we are not all African, but we all are human. I wish we could remember that last bit a little more often.
