Undressing in front of kids
Mom with daughters = ok.
Dads with sons = ok.
I'm not really comfortable with the other way around, but moms with sons under 3 or 4 doesn't seem like a big deal to me. That probably needs to be the cut off age though.
My 7 year old son still hops in the shower with me on occasion. But he's about to get to that age to do it alone.

My children showered with both my ex and I at times. I'd take one she'd take one. Not a big group shower or nothing haha.
It wasn't done to "teach anatomy" as you said, I agree that would be weird. They were toddlers and needed a shower too. You can't let a three year old roam the house while you're in the shower so in they go.

In my opinion, I'm not for any type of parent nudity in front of kids. I have friends that will take their child (2 years) into the shower with them, and I'm not a fan of that. However, I'm not sure if this topic is a matter of right or wrong, but rather simply a matter of opinion and what people are comfortable with.

I'm curious how many of you who think it is cringe worthy have kids. I agree there's the possibility some weirdo parent would do something other than shower but Damn. That's my kid. It's a shower. I think it's far stranger for teenage athletes to shower together after a game. I just don't see the issue am and more curious where your head is that you go insta perv with a kid.

Hell no. Shit if my mom or dad got naked in front of me I'll kick they ass out. And they better not touch me. I tell them to have some damn decency to go change elsewhere. Just no, especially my dad. Boys share bathrooms (we don't have stalls), so there no modesty going on. Little boys see who can pee the farthest, who can make the most bubbles, and all kids of other goofy stuff. They probably see even wiener of every classmate they have.
And none of these kids is getting sexually warped because of it.....good grief.

As a kid I don't remember giving a crap about my mum undressing in front of me. It was normal. My dad never did though and no one ever gave me the "birds and the bees" talk. I don't remember ever asking about such things either.
But kids are curious creatures. My best friend was a boy. We found out stuff on our own.

When kids are little, it's not weird at all. If you have kids, you know, as LibraSid said, you barely can even go to the bathroom and do your business without the little ones coming in. I don't get totally nude around my son, but I come out of the shower in a towel, and we all have walked around in our underwear a time or two. I don't think it's a big deal at all, my underwear covers more than some swimsuits.
I also allow my kid to use the toilet while I am in the shower. I am covered by a curtain, so he can't see me, but I'm not gonna make him wait if he has to go since we only have 1 bathroom.
It's not a sexual thing, but it's like anything else. If you feel uncomfortable with it, your kids will pick up on that and feel that it is wrong, and if you act like it is no big deal, it will be no big deal.
I don't understand where the touching comments came in, obviously there should be no inappropriate touching, but sometimes parents need to look at a kid, just for practical reasons- cleaning, or if they have an infection or something. I would not assume that someone who walks around in the nude is touching their kids inappropriately.

I had a heated debate with someone about this earlier & it seemed troublesome to me that the lady thought that there was nothing inappropriate about men doing this around their daughters or sons. She said that if women can/should do, so should fathers. I disagree. As a parent, if you think exposing your daughter to HIS private parts or undergarments is the best or only way to teach them about male anatomy or being comfortable with bodies, then you're not being creative enough.
-Is age a factor? At what age should this kind of free behavior stop?
-Is this a double standards (women should be able to shower or get naked with their sons, but men shouldn't be doing that with their daughters)
