Confuzzled's thread inspired me to ask what your highest level of education is. Basically, how educated are DXP users?
I'll go first. I have a Bachelors degree.
High school diploma- enrolling in college to get a degree in business next fall. Yes you can go back to school in your 40's! Tongue
High school diploma. I think.
I have some vague memories of bright lights and some old guy shaking my hand and giving me a piece of paper... I probably shouldn't have started the celebration early.
*shrugs*
2 years of college .... no degree. I hated school.
I never let schooling interfere with my education.
diploma in hair and beauty and massage therapy
On my way to a bachelor's degree.
Let the lies begin Tongue

This for me, only difference is that I don't hate school...it bores me. But I'll continue until the day I die.

no sir I just celebrated 43 yesterday smile But thank you! However I act like I'm 15! Devil
Law school's only 3 years (full time, 5 years part time). There are many ways to utilize the degree without ever setting foot in a court room.

this isnt going to come out right, but im just going to type whatever way it comes out
the type of degree you hold doesnt really hold that much value, unless you really utilize it. im not saying that it isnt important, education is important, but its really what you do with it that holds relevance.
i know two people who graduated summa cum laude or cum laude. you couldn't really tell by the way they live, they live very mediocre lives. they aren't filthy rich, but they aren't dirt poor either. one published books and went on and furthered his/her education, but never held a job, and pretty much died with no work experience living at home with their parents
the other owned their own business in a small town. she wasn't this CEO of a major company. she didn't live lavishly. she wasnt filthy rich. she lives very humble. her sister on the other hand, dropped out of high school and married a rich man.
so the degree you hold really just states how much education you have, but it doesn't really measure your success. it's all about your willingness to go out there and just do something with your life.
hell look at bill gates. that mofo didnt get his degree until after he became one of the worlds richest people. Jayz was snubbed for having a lack of education by NFLPA [he doesnt have a negree] and that mofo is a million dollar mogul.

Uhm no, I manage apartments. Why would you think I was a stripper?

All I have to do is write some lame shit about vampires and I can sell books to teen girls.
Or just write porn to sell to bored housewives.

LOL! you just pointed out 2 out of how many billions of people.. we are talking about an extremely small % of people who make it big without proper education. Its called luck, street smarts, rich family... if you don't have any of these, u are pretty much screwed w/o proper education
Working month to month, paycheck to paycheck is sad if you know you can do more, its never too late to grow and advance.. anyways to answer o/p - masters and a certificate

SMH Do they even give assistance to people without disability?
In my country they only give money to old people, the disabled & to a maximum of 4 kids if the parents arent working. Unemployed people get nothing if they are still young & not disabled. Parents with more than 4 kids only get money for 4 kids. The govt doesnt care for your 12 kids, that's your problem. No food stamps- only free education, free health care & free housing. The essentials.
Posted by CluelessCancer
Why not start with corporate welfare and over-bloated military first.
and WC don't listen to these people, the welfare system here is a joke, it's nothing like Europes.

It sounds like the land of honey & milk to me. Free KFC! LOL!
I am not that familiar with it all. But yes young people can get it and it doesn't matter if they are disabled. It's a bad cycle, because you loss all benefits if you work and make $ $ but most people can't make enough to support themselves & kids if they have any.

Same here, if you work then you arent eligible for public assistance...even for people with disabilites. The aim is to get people less dependant on govt money & to work for themselves. The money given each month is not much (R300 per child & R1000+ for the old & people with disability), which is a good thing IMO. I dislike laziness.

I tried to tip in the pubs twice in the UK; both times they laughed, but it's what we do.
Especially for booze!
Things have changed, I guess-- that's good.

I'm doing a lot of assuming here, though, if you don't work in a bar. Tongue

Cancers need Cappies on our side though because Cancers are WEAK as fuk in terms of making and sticking to decisions...
Cancers have a problem with needing consensus to keep the peace....

Now regarding your statement, instead of talking shit, why don't you tell me what you do, and how you got there, you said you lied on a resume? I've never done that...I can't even lie if i tried.

I'll tell you this Clueless... I recent fired a Cancer with a Bachelors, 10 years experience and countless updates to her initial degree. Why? because she was jaded, wanted to be more than she was (the boss) but didn't take the steps to make that happen. Instead, she wanted to take a job and try and mould the position to her liking.
NEXT!
I then hired a new employee, another Cancer (but a June one) younger with no education. She was eager for the opportunity to learn and grow so I sent her to school paying 50% of her education. She finished with honours and is pursuing additional classes on her own dime. She will eventually move on... but she is a great asset for now, I've assisted her in her development and I'm not stuck with a bitter employee who wants to bitch and moan about "demands and deserving."
BOSS ftw!!!!

I'm taking that too!

How is it?

I haven't taken it yet. trying another test out first, then taking that afterwards...you have to study lots for it...its not a simple test..but it's no GMAT/GRE/DAT/MCAT either.

I'm pretty good with test taking so I'm not particularly worried. But is there like a separate license based on your county/state or is it standardized to the whole US?

There is no standardized one. Sad Each state has adopted and enforces its own real estate laws and regulations regarding the practice of real estate licensing. So you must study for and pass your state??s real estate license specifically per state.

I used to like my Capricorn boss, but now I kinda hate that bitch. I just get this sick, negative feeling in her presence.

I know several Capricorn bosses....
Another female:extremely hard working but HORRIBLE people skills. She barks at everyone like subordinates. Works as a head designer in charge of manufacturing and distribution in 3 countries. Slaved for this company for years, weekends, all nighters, put work over her family. When she wanted to branch out with her own line, her boss threatened to ruin her in the industry.
Male: This boss has used and abused so many people he's got quite a reputation. Gets most of his funding from the government so what does he care.
Male: Self employed. Cool guy...
Male: Took over someone else's operation and drove it into the ground with his poor attitude and knack for treating people like garbage.
Just some of my observations.

I think our poor people skills is the reason why we have to work so darn hard half the time smh. Half the Caps I know irl have horrible attitudes...HORRIBLE lol.
High school diploma for me. I have a few college credits(47 I think) and I want to finish, I just get sooo lazy and unmotivated when it comes to school. I'm the type of person that need to LOVE what I do. I haven't found my passion yet.
I have a degree in Accountancy and a license to practice accounting and auditing. Yet I still feel unaccomplished... as I'm not yet self-supporting(I still have to finish my law school)...
So where do you, guys, get your education aside from school?
I have a BA In Health Policy and a Masters In Economics.
I am 5 courses from a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering
But
This semester ironically I'm finishing up with a BS in Accounting lol
