What it's like for a woman to have a heart attack..

I wanted to share this with you, because heart attacks in females are significantly different from heart attacks in males and the symptoms and process aren't really well known. Please read if you're a girl, or if you live with one.

i had to keep reminding myself that i am ok, and i am not experiencing it, it's just a story

Thank you for that! It's a good reminder. Aspirin is good to have around just in case.

Usually I'd think the same, but there's a link proving its validity. Also I've taken a first aid course and they said the same thing about womens heart attacks.

So have I.

There are true and also false statements in this story given.

Women aren't susceptible to a specific type of heart attack like it implies, but they do have lesser symptoms than guys do. This account isn't a bad example, but the OP could have done more digging than someone's blog entry of some random, 7 year old email chain letter. When it comes to serious matters like this, people really need to do their research and make sure everything is valid. This is how misinformation spreads so rapidly- some dipshit quoting an anecdote without checking validity. This is one of the most irritating things about DXP is the amount of anecdotal evidence when it comes to health matters. We need more intelligent people in this community before we start touting health tips and advice.
