For every headline involving a crazy woman that wouldn't take "no" for an answer & ended up doing the most to get the guy's attention; there are probably 150 cases where a man has threatened, stalked, violently assaulted, kidnapped or killed a woman after she rebuffed him.
This isn't a gendered problem IMO. Any old psychopath who feels scorned could take a similar route & trespass, or commit far worse crimes if they feel scorned enough & an opportunity presents itself. Gotta watch out for the criminally insane, 'cause these folks ain't nothing to fv.c/k with.
(Well, whatever one decides to do...it's probably best not to go on six dates with their crazy @ $ $ !)
I agree completely. It's just we see it a lot here on DXP where the woman just cannot accept the guy isn't into her and won't move along. She fixates and refuses to believe he isn't into her. Given that she knew where he lived, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd hooked up, he'd had his fun, and moved along, leaving her slighted. As of lately, I've read more stories where she does something really stupid and extreme for the sake of keeping him around/changing his mind. This story reminded me of those chicks.
The sad thing is that the media shows things like this and it's "wow, she's crazy."
But if you flip it to where he does some nutter shit, then it's "WELL SHE PROBABLY DESERVED IT BECAUSE SHE WAS A COCK TEASE TO HIM!" Regardless if she's the victim or not, blame is always put on the woman.
When I saw this headline, I'm like really? WHY would you do this, honey? There is more to life than this shit. Go get a freaking hobby.

A doctor has died after she tried to sneak into her lover's home by sliding down the chimney.
Dr Jacquelyn Kotarac's decomposing body was discovered three days after she went missing in Bakersfield, California.
The 49-year-old had first tried to force entry to the house using a shovel, then she climbed a ladder to the roof, removed the chimney cap and slid feet first down the flue.
Authorities said her lover, William Moodie, had already left the house 'to avoid a confrontation'.
Mr Moodie, 58, described their relationship as 'on-again, off-again', but refused to comment on the circumstances surrounding her death.
He said: 'She made an unbelievable error in judgment and nobody understands why, and unfortunately she's passed away.
'She had her issues - she had her demons - but I never lost my respect for her.'
Mr Moodie, who runs an engineering consulting firm, said Dr Kotarac often provided service and medication free of charge to her patients.
Dr Kotarac apparently died in the chimney, but her body was not discovered until a house-sitter noticed a smell and fluids coming from the fireplace on Saturday.
The house-sitter and her son investigated with a torch and found Dr Kotarac's body wedged around 2ft above the interior fireplace opening.
Firefighters spent five hours dismantling the chimney and flue from outside the home to extract her body.
Officials said her office staff reported her missing when she failed to show up for work. Her car and belongings remained near Mr Moodie's house.
A cause of death has not been determined. Foul play is not suspected, although investigators are treating it as suspicious.

A woman accused of illegally entering the Thousand Oaks home of a man she went on multiple dates with was arrested Sunday after firefighters used jackhammers to partially dismantle a brick chimney she had become trapped inside.
Deputies responded to a home in the 1900 block of Woodside Drive (map) at 5:45 a.m. after a caller reported that the woman had been stuck in the chimney, about 8 feet from the top, for two hours, said Capt. Renee Ferguson of the Ventura County Sheriff??s Department.
The county Fire Department's urban search and rescue team was called to the scene. Photos posted on Twitter by the department showed firefighters on the roof of the house as they worked to reach the woman, who was conscious during the rescue.
The flue was lubricated with dish soap before she was lifted out of the chimney, placed in a stokes basked and hoisted from the roof by a ladder truck, according to VCFD Capt. Mike Lindbery.
The woman, whose —intent was unclear,?? was known by the homeowner, the Sheriff??s Department said.
She was extricated by 8:22 a.m. and transported to Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center for evaluation, according to the Fire Department. Her condition was not immediately known.
She was later identified as Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa, a 30-year-old Thousand Oaks resident, and arrested for allegedly illegally entering a residence and providing false information to a peace officer, the VCSD stated in a news release.
The home's resident, who did not wish to be identified, said he had met Nunez-Figueroa online and they had gone on about six dates.
He cautioned other people about allowing acquaintances into their homes.
