I can't believe I have yet to post this thread. My dreadlocks are only as old as 2014. They are coming along nicely.

I want to hear about festivals, and anything else that you random hippies can adorn onto my thread.

My sister out hippies every hippy I know. Lol

She has had dreads since 2008ish...they're super long.

She's at a festival every other weekend (mostly all in Florida.)

She makes her own soap.

She sews dresses and makes jewelry out of wire and gem stones and other found things...and sells this stuff at festivals.
She also makes LED hula hoops and sells those too.

She's an Aqua with a Scorp moon and tons of Earth influences.

Oh and she rarely shaves. She says we are all animals and animals have hair..."get over it" -__-

im a vegan and i'm very concerned about the health of the environment but i like to get all dolled up and clean so i guess im not a hippy but i am a child of the earth 😛

A lot of people nowadays are making the hippie life style into a competition, or using it as a trend (not implying this about your sister at all). But she sounds lovely and actually she and I have some things in common. I'd like to get some advice from her about locks since mine are still very young.

Is your sister a Deadhead? Hippies excite me.

What kind of soap does she make? Is it vegan? I also make handmade soap out of coconut oils, and I use hempseed oil from time to time. I just made a mint soap for the morning facial. I'm vegan so I do not use any dairy or any product other than natural. (There are a lot of hippies where I'm from) we all make jewelry and wire wraps. My friends and I all spin fire (dragon staff).

I would love to attend every festival possible. Though I prefer small festies. I'm terribly sad that I'll miss highberry this year...loads of Dead tribute bands play there every year. And I found the purest acid ever at that festie last year. It was about 120 mic. Good stuff xD

To me you sound like a hippie. I don't view the hippie classification as being very narrow, as us hippies are all very accepting people. I believe the personality makes the hippie, not the hygiene. (;

She has the right idea. I don't shave either. If it isn't a requirement for men why should it be for women? lol. Besides, shaving is terrible for the skin. It's better to wax if you just cant stand it.

I use organic shampoo, thrift shopping is my life, Nature walks 7 days a week, I love wearing winter clothes in summer and summer clothes in winter. Arm pit hair is natural don't shave that stuff too often it grows back too fast. I'm probably just weird. Aqua sun.
