'..masseuse only works with muscles anyway, right? chiropractors seem to have a more inclusive overall knowlege of general structural anatomy...'

well even a masseuse haz an overall knowledge of da bodyz anatomy in detailz.. i mean u can neva b a messeuse unless u pass a in anatomy n physiology.. i used 2 work as a partime aromatherapist 4 a while n had 2 get a distinction in anatomy n physiology in order to b qualified 2 work....

'eliza, but i would think a chiropractor has a little more knowlege of bone structure and bone joints, tendons, etc. rite?.. how the body is put together... i don't think the certifications for a masseuse are as strict as they are for a chiropractor...;

ya ur rite STA...a chiropractor is specialized in bone structure/jointz etc.. n nohz da rite spotz 2 manipulate 'em ... i juz LOOOOOOOOOVE complementary therapiezzz 🙂

I have had an ongoing back pain for years since I was young but it recently progressed to my neck. So I went to see a chirpractor in my search for a therapy that suits me. The guy was very cocky and had a big plaque on his wall showing some kind of an award. I found it all a bit loud and brash for my liking and when he twisted my neck until it audibly crunched I decided at that stage that it wasn't for me. Anyway after a brief period of relief, the pain returned and the clicking in my neck is the same as before. I believe that therapies of any sort should be gentle and not extreme. Physiotherapy is a much more sensible and realistic treatment. It involves the patient doing regular and apparently basic movements to train the body to behave the way it should and not the way it has lapsed into the bad habit of moving. Basically something that promises a quick fix should be considered with a large dose of skepicism.

I feel there is a large element of "quackery" associated with chiropractors.
