We're anti social society, but if you look for Filipino then maybe
Posted by PurplePassion38This question is only hypothetical. I'm just seeing this in a lot of my friends and relatives. Kinda makes me want to try going to the US to see it for myself...
There are tons of Filipinos here. Join one of the Pinoy clubs or go to the Filipino cultural center. You'll be fine.
Posted by Black-MambaNot all I would think. Some might have the same interests as I do.Posted by firebunnyWho cares. Yes and they are very different so it was a big culture shock for me but anything is adaptable if you have the right attitude.click to expand
Posted by firebunnyYou have to think too with law school everyone was probably hyper focused on their studies too. Where is it you are thinking of moving to in the US?Posted by ladylibra21That's good that you were able to adapt.Posted by firebunny

I went to Manila for my studies. My first year, I was easily able to adapt but when I entered law school, it became really hard finding friends there... I was able to adapt only after two years...click to expand
Posted by ladylibra21I still don't have anything in mind. I'm pretty fixed here. I'm planning to do further studies though but not in the US coz tuition fees are very high there... probably in UK or in Japan. My relatives are in California though... planning to visit them soon...Posted by firebunnyYou have to think too with law school everyone was probably hyper focused on their studies too. Posted by PurplePassion38Yep as we should...we are the melting pot after all so things are going to come up and need to be discussed but as adults..not adults running around half cocked and pushing agenda's but not actually accomplishing anything. This planet will never be a Utopia ...you can't learn and grow from everyone being the same or things being perfect.Posted by LostinmyMind11
Im so sick and tired of people painting the US in this bad light but yet everyone wants to live here. Riddle me that?! Knock that shit off...it's getting old! Every country thru out time has had or done some fucked up things. Does shit happen...yes but majority don't think or act like what's portrayed in the media.
You will make friends. It may be hard at first and that's due to age...it's always harder when older but not impossible. We are not anti social and we very much like people and other cultures.
+1 👏
I think it's because we are so honest about out issues, where in other countries it's swept under the rug.click to expand
