Leo Moons

Do you ever feel like you get too attached to people and too involved in their lives?
Like you're incapable of being a superficial friend?

I am always the friend everyone can count on. I care deeply about the people in my life and would do anything for them...and they know it. This isn't always a good thing because I sometimes feel like it's not reciprocated.
I rarely feel like I "need" people, I'm very independent and I rarely talk about my own problems with friends...however, on the rare occasion I do (and by rare I mean literally once or twice a year) I reach my breaking point with all the shit that goes down, stress, drama, etc. and need someone to be there for me...they're not there. :/


My mom is a Leo Sun/Sagi Moon (so we're reversed) and she always used to tell me "people won't let you down if you don't allow them to." Funny, I advise others this way all the time...but it's so true.
It's important to decipher what type of role certain people are allowed play in your life.
There are some that you can be best friends with and invest time in a friendship...then there are some that are just good as an acquaintance...you can go and hang out and have fun with, but you have to keep at arms length cause they are not the type that can return the same kind of friendship you give.

I feel like it's especially hard for Leo moons to keep people at arms length cause we're so open and caring.

Anyone else feel like this?

I always figured leo to be the black sheep of the fire signs. Leo is so much needy of approval and acknowledgement compared to Aries and Sagittarius.

Leo gives attention as well as receives i guess?
I'm virgo moon and it sounds a bit depressing but i just hate people sometimes. Idle chit chat pisses me off. Even people i don't necessarily dislike i actually go out of my way to avoid the inevitably boring chit chat.

I have a Leo moon and I love attention I love having all eyes on me and I love showing off cuz nobody does what I do better than me

Yes I offer a happy upbeat parade of emotion all the time.

Gem moos are the ones that mostly return it.

But Leo's tend to be the more personable and warmer than the other two. They are also more emotional and have more depth of feeling than Sag and Aries.

Hrm... I have Leo moon... but I also have Aries sun and Scorpio rising... double fire and double Mars... I think I'm a warm person to those who deserve it. I'm a complete hard ass on the outside though. And I can be incredibly selfish. A lot of the time, I'm all ME, ME, ME... I think that's the Aries sun and Leo moon coming out.... but I do recognise when other fire signs need their chatter time and I let them banter on madly too... I know each of the fire signs JUST LOVES chitter chatter! I find it hysterical because I know how it is when I get in a chatty mood... I feel sorry for the person whose ear I'm talking off! I think it must be exhausting! That's why I'm more than happy to let Leos, Sagges and Aries babble on... because I understand how it feels to want to just SAY EVERYTHING and forget to breath sometimes! Listening to them in one of those moods makes me chuckle inside my head... I find it very amusing. BOY CAN WE ALL TALK!

I'm leo moon and I relate to the main poster.but my cancer sun keeps me quiet. I want people around me to no when things are wronge instead of me saying how I feel ,which would never happen,also I realize leo moons are great friends u also here leos talk about friends like its a big deal to them. Leo moons want great company they like that friendship bond a lot of listen engaging . They like a friend to have there back like a brother or sister bond. They put a lot in to friendships. I am kind of better with this cause my cancer me don't allow people that close . But from time to time I deal with this with family ,boyfriend,or people in my life who always want your ear.

A trait I never acknowledged about my Leo moon was the leadership quality.

I was straight up bossy as a child
But I still find myself organizing my friends...keeping them in check...reminding them when we have projects due, etc.
I'm like the mom of the group.

I don't mean to be domineering, but I pretty much run shit. haha

Just me? Or is this common too?

I do it too, especially at work.

My year review was last week, and my boss told me that I take control. I think of the department as my own and take on responsibilities that aren't mine, just to make sure the department runs smoothly.

Yeah! ...I literally cannot stand to watch someone be inefficient. I feel this intense urge to take over. Haha


& people expect this from me now. I feel they use it as an excuse to be lazy sometimes...even when it comes to making a simple decision. They know I will do it if they don't.

I guess that's why I really prefer dominant/aggressive men who take control.
It's a nice change....maybe a bit of a relief

In person you leo mooners can come off as insincere. Good people though, lots of what was in the opening posts. Does that demeanor come from an attitude or is it just a thing?

I recently moved away from home and consequently met a lot of new people, and I think in general I have quite the opposite reputation. A lot of people confide in me and come to me for advice.

Since I posted, I noticed location (work, out and about, home) makes a big difference. I really only see it when they are working. Fun purely to pass the time and a cheer that seems forced. Catch a bit of the mood around the corner out of the spotlight and it's totally powered down. For a Cap like me, I would rather you be at whatever energy you're feeling, instead of powering up and down based on who is around. Or when bending an ear, their eyes glaze over because they they wanted the moment, not so much the details.

Good people regardless, I just curious about the "Face" :p It seems weird when people will see the energy anyway. I will say you guys are uber natural flirts... it's really silly.

I kind of get what you're saying about the last part... I'm really not into small talk... (but I also lack air)

I had to work with a Gemini once and he would not shut the F up... I'm sure he saw my eyes glaze over tons of times, lol.
He would ask me how my weekend was...so I'd say good and of course be polite and ask about his and then he'd give me the looonnngggg answer and I stopped listening half way through and just smiled and giggled. (Who knows what the giggle is for, people probably think I'm so fucking weird.)

I can't tell the difference in what's influencing me between my Aries sun and Leo moon.... I feel like they're too similar.... Anyone car to share some light for me?

Well I am a Taurus Sun/Venus/Mercury and a Libra Rising. My mother is a Leo Sun and I have tended to hate my Leo moon. It feels like it is not me and it is tough to hide. I love to show off but in a pride way and it feels weird to me like it is not me. I guess sometimes I try to see what is like to be a Leo and compare my mother's negative traits to my Leo moon to try to relate. I don't have much fire and that may be the reason I don't relate to it.
