Moon Aspects/House Placements

This topic was created in the Moon Signs forum by SirHorns on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 and has 19 replies.
So to hopefully liven this board up, I'm gonna ask the following.
1. Which house does your moon sign fall in? (1st? 12th? 8th?)
2. Do you find yourself getting emotionally invested in whichever house your moon falls in? (Moon in 4th making you really emotional towards family, 10th would be towards career.)
3. Got any planets spicing your moon up or sucking the life out of her? (Venus? Saturn? Sun)
4. Do you notice anything triggering your moon that doesn't make sense too you? (i.e. Corn makes you cry, etc)
Virgo 9th house I'm sure. I put a lot of energy into learning. Not really emotional-- not a lot of water in my chart besides the houses. Mercury being square to it messes it up and can't always organize my thoughts. Most of my moon aspects are great though. I'm critical sometimes and harsh with Virgo Moon and Sag Mercury. Don't always consider people's feelings especially adults.
1. 8th house
2. Yes
3. Pluto, mars & saturn conj moon..with the sun squaring that.
4. My moon is trigger happy lol, but it's always the dumbest, tiniest things that set me off. I can be petty but would probably forgive you for murdering someone in my lounge, only to bitch about the blood stains you left on my carpet. That I still don't understand about myself.
[6th house Virgo moon, ruler-mercury Sagittarius]
Well it's in its 'homey' house smile and it's 'spiced up' by a matching Virgo descendent. At my heart I am much more a Virgo than a Scorpio... though I become more Scorpio when I feel threatened, and those abilities often come unbidden (and seem confusing). Scorpio's instincts are stronger than Virgo's anyway (Virgo is more intellectually based), and it makes sense to call on one's sun/image when needing that 'boost'. I adore Scorpio's 'feelings' from the people around me, but it's actually really frustrating that I end up *always* trying to intellectualize them into words. If nothing else, because it's danged difficult. Example:
A friend introduced me to his dad and new step-mom. I've never met either before:
Him: "So what did you think about her?"
Me: "Hard."
Him: "What? You don't like her?"
Me: "Um... well we could be friends." (recovery attempt, I feel him getting upset)
Him: frustrated
Me: withdrawn
The lack of a proper-feeling response introduces a puzzle which WON'T go away until solved.
3 days later: "She was a volcano about to explode. Every little twitch or utterance I dared to make, she was watching as a potential attack. She was under EXTREME stress. She puts a lot of effort into controlling the relationship she's in, as the man next to her is naturally a very domineering sort, and they both want to be in charge. He is fairly hen-pecked right now, but if she lets up for even a microsecond he could fall right back into his old habits, as far as she's concerned. This looks like a lot of stress. She is trying so hard not to just break down and cry. She's putting so much effort into maintaining a rich-lady appearance: spending on housing and jewelry and fancy clothing, that she really can't afford. She's jealous of me because I'm younger than her, and I look healthy and fit. I'm younger by a couple decades, actually, and she instinctively wants even more control and authority of the situation because there is a potentially distracting (and therefore competing) female in her vicinity. The husband is mostly withdrawn, distracted by the housing project, and sad about how much it's costing."
Did I tell him? Nah... Does Scorpio save my butt from creepers and attract me to good folk, time and time again? You betcha! Big Grin
You could say I'm very 'emotionally vested' in my moon. I am very very very much a Virgo health nut too! And full of allergies. I find it unfortunate that Virgo isn't an exceptionally emotional moon, though... this has probably kept me out of trouble here and there (less defensive explosions). With Virgo digging into the details of a dilemma and its ruler-mercury Sagittarius stretching outward, I entertain myself with finding solutions to problems, then translating into something everyone around me can understand too.
Moon Opposition Ascendant
Moon Square Uranus
Moon Square Mercury
Moon Trine Neptune
Sun Sextile Moon
Moon Sextile Pluto
I am always full of TMI. Winking
Note: I am always full of TMI. Big Grin
Nothing made sense back when I was taught we only had one sign: the sun. Now that I know we can identify with things like moon, astrology is no longer hogwash.

1. 8th
2. So, 8th would be emotional concerning death, taboos, sex? idk. I don't think so. But most 8th house concerns scare the crap out of me, I have to admit. I think that has more to do with me being a Taurus, though.
3. I have only harmonious aspects to moon. I think it's my most well-aspected planet. Trine Mercury, sextile Jupiter, semi-sextile Midheaven. So spiced up.
4. Yes. I admit I have trouble feeling empathy towards a human individual. But some completely bizzare things can make me emotional, such as seeing someone stomping over flowers. It can make me truly sad. I have weirder examples but you get the picture. Animals also get to me much easier than humans.
I think so as well, jaded.
1. Which house does your moon sign fall in? (1st? 12th? 8th?)
12th, which also happens to be intercepted. I've tried to find information on what effect this has but haven't been able to. I guess I'd have to have a professional reading done.
2. Do you find yourself getting emotionally invested in whichever house your moon falls in? (Moon in 4th making you really emotional towards family, 10th would be towards career.)
Again, I have no idea. I can't find much on what having an intercepted 12th house means. I'm open to interpretations!
3. Got any planets spicing your moon up or sucking the life out of her? (Venus? Saturn? Sun)
Not especially.
4. Do you notice anything triggering your moon that doesn't make sense too you? (i.e. Corn makes you cry, etc)
No...

Well 12th is the house of Pisces. So your moon would essentially have to follow all of Pisces' rules, such as being open to influences, feelings, vibes, etc. from others. I know someone with a 12th house sun, and he is always overwhelmed by crowds. They give him too much data to sort. Of course, he's also the very analytical Virgo sun, so a 12th house go-with-the-flow sign might be less unsettled. Is your quick, fiery Aries moon affected in this way?
A couple good video links:
INTERCEPTED SIGNS:
"This makes it possible for some signs in a horoscope to be intercepted. In other words, they are totally enclosed in a house, and, as a result, they do not appear at the beginning of any house."
"In the horoscope of a person, an intercepted sign shows a blockage. The qualities of that sign have difficulty coming out. It is like a room in your house that can only be reached by first going through another room. An interception means that your early environment did not give you the ability to deal with the things ruled by the intercepted signs. The qualities of those signs can get bottled up, repressed. Eventually, the pressure builds to the breaking point and they burst out??_usually in ways that are not appropriate."
"It is better to interpret intercepted signs in pairs. Opposite signs normally work as a team. For instance, the aggression of Aries is balanced by the charm and social skills of Libra. With intercepted signs, the link is broken."
"Aries-Libra Intercepted: Intercepted Aries makes it difficult to take action. Since Pisces is the sign on the cusp (beginning) of the house, the person will generally find it easy to daydream in the area of life ruled by that house, and daydream, and daydream??_Taking action tends to get put off. When they finally do act, they are likely to suddenly dive in as if they had never thought about the thing they were considering. Pisces is dreamy and peaceful. Aries is aggressive."

"Intercepted signs and planets are weaker."
"Planets in cadent houses 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th are weaker."
http://www.angelfire.com/empire/serpentis666/Astrology.html

"In my 50 years of research and experience, I have found that an intercepted sign (and, of course, any intercepted planet) can provide a strong clue to possible health problems, especially when the energies of that sign are not apparent. Any frustration or thwarted energy on a psychological level is likely to be manifest physiologically."
"During my early years in astrology, I recommended the usage of ... salt ... all her blood tests reflected low blood sodium."
PISCES ON THE CUSP / ARIES INTERCEPTED = Being the ???nice person,?? rather than doing what one wants, and not being assertive in a situation can create tension headaches, acid-alkaline imbalances or arteriosclerosis. The Aries cell salt is Kali. Phos.

Yum?
Thank you Draumstafir for your help! I found that first video to be very insightful (didn't have time to watch the second). I'm wondering if my intercepted moon is why I feel conflicted about introversion and isolation. Sometimes I feel really introverted, but something else always makes me feel like I should be out in public. I also love to be isolated and recently moved 2,000 miles away from everyone I know... but now feel frantic to make friends. I guess that could explain my conflict.

1. Which house does your moon sign fall in? (1st? 12th? 8th?)
Recently found out its in the first...
2. Do you find yourself getting emotionally invested in whichever house your moon falls in? (Moon in 4th making you really emotional towards family, 10th would be towards career.)
I'd agree with what the previous moon in first house person said.
3. Got any planets spicing your moon up or sucking the life out of her? (Venus? Saturn? Sun)
You tell me!
Moon tribe Pluto
Sun tribe moon
Moon semi-sext old Jupiter
Moon in conjunction Venus
Moon sextile Neptune
4. Do you notice anything triggering your moon that doesn't make sense too you? (i.e. Corn makes you cry, etc)
At the moment id say what triggers my moon makes sense and if it doesn't maybe I don't know my moon is being triggered.

Confused.....Huh(@ your example)? Almost everything trigger my moon. I find humour in a lot of things.
1. 5th
2. Everyone likes to have fun, but I do that a lot more than others. I see life as a playfield, that's for sure. Me gusta participating in some speculative ventures as well.
3. Not really. Some of them act as very helpful tools. Here they are:
Moon opp Jupiter
Moon sextile Pallas
Moon trine Mars
4. I get irritable when someone worries a lot about me. Have some faith in me, damn it!
1. 1st house
2. Agree with what Fox said:
1st house represents our outward personality, identity and our journey of self-discovery I think. I'd say I'm definitely emotionally invested in developing my sense of self and creating and fitting in with an identity that suits me, which is a bit difficult considering I also have Venus, Mars, Neptune and Jupiter in the 1st house. LOL
3. Got any planets spicing your moon up or sucking the life out of her? (Venus? Saturn? Sun)
Moon Conjunction Venus
Moon Sextile Uranus
Moon Square Midheaven
4. I wear my emotions on my sleeve.... it all makes way too much sense to me.
you can read the different aspects here btw...

Add 3 more aspects to mine:
Moon Quincunx Saturn
Moon Trine Chiron
Moon Conjunction Vesta (not sure what Vesta is lol)

I can be a bit hedonistic at times. I certainly enjoy my creature comforts. At times it seems that the only way I can express my deeper emotion based undercurrents is through creative activity, writing, drawing, music, the "actor's persona", etc. Romantic intimacy gets a high priority. And I like kids, so... *shrug*

I'm extremely territorial and protective about "my" people (friends, family & coworkers) and my space. Nobody @# $ % s with my tribe.
It's almost physically painful for me to be around unhappy people. If there's a fight I have to try to break it up. If someone's being bullied I feel a compulsion to stick up for them. I try to make people laugh and feel comfortable.
I have a hard time watching/reading the news because of how dark it can be. For sure nothing sets me off on a rampage faster than abuse towards children, women, and anyone or anything that can't reasonably defend themselves.
I accidentally ran over a turtle once when I didn't see it in time to avoid it. I'm pretty sure I bawled for a solid thirty or forty miles afterward. I have no idea if any of that actually relates but those are my basic emotional triggers.
