Across the Universe

thoughts??

it's not out yet, i think it comes out on the 17th. it looks pretty weird. there's a cover of "across the universe" (beatles) in the previews that's so eery...i really want to hear the full version of it. but yeah...from what i could tell (i've only seen a couple trailers) it's a movie about the 60s and its conflicts and contradictions as a generation.....the peace, the love, the drugs, the war...i'm not exactly sure though.

Going to resurrect this film to say that it is most enjoyable. You have to like musicals, as that is how the story is told in this film. The Beatles music is well presented and sung by the actors in this film, and the story line is very clear.

For any Beatles fans out there you will find the parallels between songs and character names fun.

Rating on a 1 to 5 scale, 5 being top...I give this a **** 1/2*'s
