well i usually keep to harry potter groups in the past and none of us are interested in "getting together" like i noticed here on dxp (not all, but some of ya'll, and it's good if it's real and it's authentic...but smh....you got to wonder)
i guess the story is to keep you on your toes! Don't believe everything you hear, say, especially online.
For single people, professional dating sites usually have authentic members, who say who they say they are.

don't believe it you two *shakes head*
you have to consider, how elaborate this scheme is, i mean how did they manage to steal all her fb photos and then send him lots of packages, calling him daily? that's expensive right there. Sending packages and calling across the country by mobile phone? that's racking up cost. They really invested alot of time and energy into this scheme.
You have to also consider, they could PAY someone to pretend to be that girl to go on webcam. Obviously not in this film. But in another scheme, they could ask some gorgeous girl down the supermarket or someone they know, who knows someone, and pay them lots of money to get on the webcam and "pretend"...
they say there are women out there who will do anything for ALOT of money. why not this?

Don't be so naive. There are alot of TRICKSTERS out there.
Also, why would they do this? Just to hurt other people?
I have no idea.
Maybe if it were the FBI doing this to track down pedos, I can see the point of time and energy...
but why this kind of scheme?

i'm sorry but it's still too elaborate to just "escape" their lives.
they would actually spend alot of money too on that? They must have alot of money to just splurge on this kind of nonsense.

my thoughts traveled to what i was mentioning about with the Ukraine ladies, and they arent "legal" but they certainly are legal enough to stay, is what i was suggesting or commenting.
They're GOOD people and they dont pretend to be something they are not.
they wont talk about the privacy of their sufferings and their lives to just random strangers even to immigration officers.
I dont know why you would hang around people who want to pretend they are superstars and they aren't.
to each their own.

oh ok, sorry guys, had to start dinner, but i just didnt understand where you were coming from. i honestly didnt. i only know of immigrants who "escape" their horrible life to go to another country. I'm not really aware of the ones you talk about, the ones pretending to be superstar and spend lots of money on that.
There are alot of people running from countries such as Bosnia, even China, ect. alot of them don't make it to their destination. I'm sure you have heard too of illegal mexicans running to the U.S. to the borders of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, california....and they suffered very much i'm sure of it.
anyway yes, there are people who would take someone's photos like in the film, so many variations of them, and then use them to seduce people.
I've mentioned this before where bbc programs have shows where people from poor countries are also "bad" and take your money, pretending to love you and all the while the poor woman for example sends thousands of pounds to some poor country and never to hear of the man who supposedly said he'd marry her.

finished the last part of the film, and it was so very sad.
I read the summary online but it was wrong. The beautiful many photos of the woman is a professional model and photographer already married with two children.
the poor lady...in the end...it is very sad. Everyone should watch it.
