I saw it and it was twisted. Our culture is stupid to think twisted/evil has anything to do with cool/admirable. I am not proud to be an American.

1. Plenty naked ladies
+
2. Plenty violence and torture
= Perverted sexuality
+ Sexual sadism
+ It doesn't get better the more you watch it
= Stay away from fear producing movies period

Why? It's not worth it. And there's always that "two hours of my life wasted" reasoning. There is a lot of movies out there. What to speak of all the things you can do. Trying to scare yourself or pervert yourself with all the crap you feed your mind is not a smart thing to do. We already watch TV enough and are certainly not as smart as we could be.

Why did I watch it? Perhaps I was once so perverted. Perhaps I realized fear decreases our ability to love. Perhaps I figured that's not what the world needs - especially right now. Perhaps I thought if I didn't think others should watch it, or if I had kids I wouldn't want them to watch it, maybe I shouldn't either. Perhaps I was interested in the controversial aspect of it. But enough with directors making reckless madman movies for the sake of controversy - or fear, or "coolness." And no, it is not awesome. Not even one bit.

I thought about watching the Hostel the second. I think I'm going to give that up now. And if there is going to be a third, I'm not even going to bother my mind with it. (My mind will thank me later.)

You want to watch something stupid, go watch a comedy
You want to have fun, look around and wake up because there's a lot to do
You want the adrenaline rush, drop your TV sports guide and go get more interactive
You want to stop all this and feel better altogether stop all the nightmare-inducing madness
