It is TRUE, if you did a little research before started a thread you would know that! Smh

And it's the glamorisation, with no consequences, depiction of it, and for SOME people there is something wrong with it, clearly you wouldn't understand just what?!?

yes i did..

i was writing off from what you said on the last post i quoted. It sounded as a general analysis, towards the depiction of abused women.

Ok, it's just I have so many issues with this film and the hype around it!!

She took a polygraph test before publishing the book.

i see what you mean about how they "glamourize" it a little. Although, if you mean by how they portrayed "pornography"? or portrayed women.
it doesn't seem so hyped when you see the reality of what happened to her.

But also, I noticed, in my time writing in the writing club before, that women (not all) tend to glamourize "rape" and i don't know why. I am not into that stuff. I'm guessing it's because they have never been abused, or any kind of situation that is very traumatic. When one hasn't been in that real situation, how can they emphatize?

In fact, it's sometimes those that have been abused that find interest in that kind of stuff, they become desensitised sometimes, it's no wonder many who work in the sex industry have history of abuse, although I won't get into a debate about that here, already got into a never-ending one with a stripper here.

I never joke about rape, and would seriously keep the fuck away from anyone who did, even if they were trolling.

The thing is Linda had alot of high profile customers, and these women adapt to doing their job with a smile for survival. I know enough that those that get into this industry for fun, fame etc are a very few minority, (yes, the money is good, but the first thought to do 'this' for money is not normal), and all the women I know who have worked and are working right now have been abused in their lives and not just from men, and emotional/physical abuse is just as damning to ones psyche and securities.

We live in a society that has thongs for 4 yr olds and t-shirts writing "porn star"!! Some are just influenced by society, look at Kim kardashian etc, some really believe they will be famous.

I will feel this when 50 shades movie comes out too!!

Ok FIRST OFF....saying what you said about these women, and saying they become desensitized is quite INSENSITIVE of you to even think about.
