It came right away to my mind as I read the topic title. I dont even know why I sat through it. There were some conversations that gave a new insight but... It was just morbid and disgusting.

I'm sorry but you'll never top a serbian film. I didnt see it because I read the scene by scene synopsis. The nastiest things go down in that movie. Things you couldn't even imagine.. i will never watch it. It was banned in many countries for good reason.


That being said- I would recommend - Martyrs. It's horrifying, but it has an actual point.

I have to wonder if the writer of a serbian film is possessed by a demon cause theres no other reason to bring that filth to life.

I guess I'm not that emo about family values, it was no biggie to me. If we put the funk aside, I found it to be an interesting and accurate social commentary on post-war Serbia.. but that's not something I expect will register with the world-audience. It doesn't even among many natives.
