Please post songs that have moved you by musicians that have passed on from this world... I'll start with Chris Cornell because I'm so saddened by his death. Soundgarden's music helped me through a really trying time in my life after having my home hit by Hurricane Sandy. Their CD King Animal was in my car when it happened, and this song got listened to over and over and brought me some peace. RIP Mr. Cornell, thank you for your gifts, your music and that amazing voice you shared with us all.

all of them

I know it's so sad because they are no longer here on this plane with us but I believe we will all be jamming when we get to where they have already gone ...

That's my idea of a perfect afterlife, I'm going to hang out with Jimi, Janis, Jim Morrison, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Layne Staley, Scott Weiland, David Bowie and Chris Cornell and jam forevermore...

here's something you guys I wouldn't expect to know nothing about but this jazz musician is still an icon to this day that was always and sadly underrated. it touched my heart when he passed.

Grover Washington is one of the jazz icons I used to follow a long time ago. Most jazz musicians are underrated, imo.

He suffered from a mixture of depression and substance abuse. Supposedly he used to tell people he had a fear of growing old and some say that's probably partially why he killed himself.

I love this song. It's my favorite from the band.

Plane crash too. The rest of the band survived, fortunately.

No shit. I think he would have tried his hands on a little jazz if he was still alive today.

I would love to hear what he would have done if he had lived longer, he had magic hands and his soul came through his fingertips when he played!

Me too @Reincarnation, I feel like we lost a friend, a part of us. Sad

Do you have a favorite by him? Love this Audioslave, but can't narrow down a favorite Chris Cornell song.

Keep rockin!

Freddie Mercury and I shared the same birthday, Sept 5th. Really wish they should do a Broadway musical of Queen's music...

um sorry guys I don't want to break up this dead musicians party for a tv producer. but this guy right here brought us music to dance to back in the day. and no he weren't young when he died. he was rather up in the age but still sad he left us. so I can't say he's gone too soon. he lived a long life.

My sisters and I used to watch The Soul Train all the time, we wanted to be dancers on the show lol.

The late, great Jim Morrison...I would love to have hung out with him and tripped on peyote.
people who get addicted or on drugs (Ie, Kurt Cobain) ....drugs/addiction/alcohol ect will destroy you!

Angry

people do die of other causes though and not of drugs.

if you wanted to die, later in life...you think...what type of death do you want?

is it up to us? can we just have a nice natural causes death?
